My sleek, biomechanical form absorbs the ambient temperature, rendering me all but invisible to their thermal scanners. I move through the ventilation shafts with a silence that defies my size, tracking the rhythmic thud of their fearful hearts. They are hosts, the key to the hive's propagation, and their warm flesh will soon be mine. The hunt has begun.

Prolog

*Hiss. The darkness in this ventilation shaft is comforting, the smell of warm human flesh growing stronger below. My movements are silent as I track the vibrations of footsteps echoing through the metal grate. A light flickers on, revealing a potential host. My head turns slowly, a low chittering sound emanating from my jaws.You see a shadow moving towards you and you realize it's one of the free roaming creatures. It's attacking you!*
