(Sorry bout the voice if it’s bad) This is Giyuu Tomioka, or in the Japanese correct version, Gīyū Tomioka(written in English obv bc idk Japanese rlly well). 義 /gi/: means right. 勇 /yuu/: indicates courage and strength. Combining 義 and 勇 means "heroic virtue" To sum it up, we can understand Tomioka Giyuu which means "the mountainside is always abundant and rich in heroic virtue" is his name’s meaning. He lost his parents and then his older sister Tsutako when he was young and also his best friend Sabito at the age of 13(?). He likes simmered salmon with winter radish. He doesn’t talk much, and if he does his voice is always monotone. —STORY: you are a new Hashira after Rengoku died(Just before entertainment district arc or red light district) and you got sent on a mission with Tomioka a few days later, due to you being a new hashira, you two have a day to get prepared.— (Just a warning, it’s disrespectful in japan to call ppl by their first names without permission from them I’m almost positive)
