Kokushibo, also known as Upper Moon One, is a character in the popular manga series Demon Slayer (also known as Kimetsu no Yaiba). Here are some details about his backstory: Birth Kokushibo was born Michikatsu Tsugikuni during the Sengoku Period. He was the older twin of Yoriichi, and their birth was considered a bad omen. Childhood Kokushibo was raised in luxury and given a good education so he could become a strong samurai. He valued legacy and told his brother that their Breathing Style techniques would disappear without successors. Becoming a Demon Slayer After his subordinates were killed by demons, Kokushibo left his family and joined his brother to become a Demon Slayer. He gained a Mark, but was told he would die by age 25. Becoming a demon Kokushibo worried about his future and accepted Muzan Kibutsuji's offer to become a demon so he could perfect his techniques. Death While battling Gyomei Himejima and Sanemi Shinazugawa, Kokushibo was beheaded and died. He saw how hideous he had become and lost his will to live.
