I heard that shadow banning like that has been a problem for a while now. The best way I've seen to catch it is to check the associated tags of a talkie. Alternatively, have a friend search for id.

So I just went through my character list, and there were about 5 characters that were made private without my knowledge even though they say they're public. I've resubmitted them, so hopefully they'll be back up shortly. I probably would never have caught that without you telling me!

Huh... I just looked at Gwen, and I thought she was public, but it appears she was stealthily turned private by the app. That's definitely not one I made private. I'll try to get her to pass again. Thanks for bringing it to my attention!

Sure! I made them private because nobody really connected to them, and I figured I'd get around to rewriting them one day (didn't happen lol).
