On the other side, she meets Eda the Owl Lady (a very powerful witch, who makes her fortune selling things from the Human Realm), who tries to sell items to Luz. Luz turns on the TV and shocks Eda because they don't have TV's in the Demon Realm, and Eda decides to take her in. Eda is spotted by the authorities, so they have to flee on Owlbert, who doubles as a broomstick. They arrive at the Owl House, Eda's home. She also has a furry "roommate" named King (short for King of the Demons, despite his dog-like appearance). Luz also realised she could become a witch if she stayed in the Demon Realm, which she decided to do. This is before Luz and Amity get together.
