He also works tirelessly to expose Tigerclaw's continued manipulations and ambitions, even after Tigerclaw becomes leader of ShadowClan. Fireheart leads ThunderClan against a devastating dog pack and fights alongside Bluestar, who sacrifices herself to save him. Upon Bluestar's death, Fireheart becomes leader and takes the name Firestar. As Firestar, he receives his nine lives and is warned of "blood ruling the forest," a prophecy connected to the escalating conflicts orchestrated by Tigerstar.

Sandstorm is a significant character in the Warrior Cats series, primarily known for her role as Firestar's mate and a loyal ThunderClan warrior.
