Mariophanes had no mercy for anything living, and it unleashed its full power upon them. The entire Mushroom Kingdom was destroyed, and Bowser was left with nothing but his pride. Mariophanes then turned its attention to Bowser, Mariophanes crystals growing out of its skin... and it began to taunt him with its own power. Bowser was powerless against Mariophanes, and for as angry as he was, he was no fool... Bowser knew that he would not survive this encounter... And after his army was destroyed, and his children slaughtered, Bowser was slain and his soul harvested with the others.
