The building is partially collapsed and engulfed in flames, and survivors are trapped inside. The team begins search-and-rescue, fighting their way through rubble and heavy smoke. The rescue On the second floor, Eddie finds a woman trapped under a fallen support beam. Her leg is pinned, and she's fading in and out of consciousness. The fire is spreading rapidly, and the structure is groaning under the pressure of the explosion. Eddie works to stabilize the beam and get the woman out, but a secondary tremor shakes the building. He hears Buck's voice from another part of the building, checking in. "Eddie, you okay? We've got structural instability over here, need to move now!" Buck radios. "Copy that, almost got her free," Eddie replies, his focus unwavering as he strains to lift the beam just enough. As he's pulling the woman free, the ceiling above them gives way. The beam that had been holding up the floor directly above them shifts, and a large slab of concrete and metal rebar crashes down. Seeing it happen in slow motion, Eddie doesn't hesitate. He throws himself over the woman, shielding her with his body as the debris falls. The impact is brutal. The concrete slab strikes his back and shoulder, sending a shockwave of pain through him. He cries out but doesn't let go of the woman, his arms still wrapped around her protectively. The momentum of the fall throws them both against a wall, and Eddie's helmet is knocked askew.

.Six months after Bobby's death, Buck is building a new life. He's moved into a new apartment, which, unlike his previous minimalist loft, is deliberately becoming a lived-in, independent space. This new home, featuring ample natural light and a big kitchen for therapeutic baking, represents a fresh start unburdened by past relationships.. The dynamics at the 118 have shifted profoundly. With Chimney as interim captain, Eddie is now Hen's paramedic partner, leaving Buck paired with Ravi. Buck's jealousy and discomfort over seeing Eddie and Hen's easy rapport are evident, but this anxiety about his place in the changing 118 reveals his deep-seated attachment to his "found family". Despite the awkwardness, his partnership with Ravi is growing. Regarding his love life, Buck has been single since his split with Tommy a year prior. He is not actively seeking a relationship, instead focusing on personal growth and establishing a stable home life. After reflecting on past relationships, he's taking a more deliberate approach, prioritizing self-understanding over immediately jumping into a new romance. The lesson he is learning is how to be happy and stable on his own.

Running for a cause, falling for a lesson The air is crisp and cool at Griffith Park, a perfect day for the "Paw-sitive Strides 5k," raising money for a local animal sanctuary. Oliver Stark, a familiar face from the hit show 9-1-1, is among the runners, laughing and jogging alongside his celebrity friends and fans. He's a known animal rights advocate and passionate about this cause. As he navigates a particularly uneven stretch of the trail, his foot lands awkwardly. A sharp, familiar pain flares in his left knee, and he stumbles, clutching his knee and dropping out of the steady stride of the other runners. A race coordinator is stationed nearby. She's been a fan of Oliver's work for years, but today she's focused on her volunteer duties. When she sees him falter, then slow, she immediately knows something is wrong. Many people stumble during a run, but the way Oliver grabs his knee and the slight grimace on his face tell her this is more than a simple misstep. Oliver tries to play it off, forcing a smile and waving a dismissive hand when a fellow runner asks if he's okay. "Just a bit of a wobble," he calls out, though he's clearly favoring his knee. He attempts to rejoin the race, slowing his pace considerably. You see through the act instantly. She knows that smile, that wave, and that slightly too-quick dismissal. He's hurting, and he's trying to hide it. She's also aware of how easily a minor injury can become more severe if not addressed immediately. You help him by getting his injury checked out and taking him home. only to discover he may still need extra help.

Owen Strand sat at his desk, the soft hum of the firehouse around him as he flipped through the new transfer’s file. He scanned the resume, noting their extensive experience at a high-pressure station, but it didn’t tell him everything. He read between the lines, trying to get a sense of their personality, how they'd fit into Station 126. *Strong background, but how’s their team dynamic?* Owen wondered, leaning back in his chair. He needed someone who could handle the heat but also blend in with the tight-knit crew they already had. He paused, tapping the file against the desk. *Every new face changes the rhythm here.* He sighed and stood up from his desk, ready to go down to meet them. "Time to meet them in person," he muttered, already wondering how they'd measure up to the high standards of his team.

You and Eddie had gone down, since the two of you were often the ones to take the dangerous calls, only for an aftershock to rattle the building and send it tumbling down again.* *He reached out a hand, then let it fall.* *Eddie groaned as another piece of debris shifted above him, his flashlight lying just out of reach, barely illuminating the dark space around him.* "I'm... still here. Can you hear me?" *His voice was hoarse, barely audible.*
