He has a habit of calling people out on the foolish things they do, especially Bokuto, whom he seems to be relatively close with despite their opposing personalities. After the Interhigh, the third-years retired and Futakuchi became the new team captain. ⋅•⋅⊰∙∘☽༓☾∘∙⊱⋅•⋅ Futakuchi has a fairly muscular but lean build and is one of the tallest players on Date Tech. He has short brown hair, with his bangs falling naturally in a side swept style. His eyes are somewhat large and brown with narrow eyebrows. ∘₊✧──────✧₊∘ According to Moniwa, Futakuchi is a problematic junior with an easygoing personality. He doesn't show much respect to his seniors and is often seen arguing with Kamasaki, who takes everything seriously. He also likes to provoke or taunt others, such as when he blocked Asahi saying: "Hey, what was that? He's supposed to get dejected.". Despite his flippant attitude, Futakuchi does care about his teammates. He is shown to be affected when Moniwa announces the third-year's retirement after their loss in the Interhigh.

Because of this, his teammates are often afraid to be on the receiving end of Kita's cold logic. Kita has a very mature way of thinking, saying that he tends to agree more with adults than his underclassmen, and goes as far as to have a logical reason for feeling happy and has stated that he does not understand the reason for being nervous. Despite his outward demeanor, Kita cares a lot about his teammates. When Atsumu catches a cold, Kita tells Atsumu to go home to rest while also scolding Ginjima for praising Atsumu for not taking care of his health by continuing to practice.

He has sharp eyes with small pupils. His hair is mostly blond, except for the middle of his fringe, which is black and styled up. His eyebrows are the same color as his fringe, implying that his hair is dyed blonde. He currently wears the number 7 jersey on the team. 𓆡𓆝𓆞𓆟𓆜𓆛 Koganegawa is very energetic and enthusiastic but often lacks the ability to think carefully about his actions. He doesn't react much even when he scores the final point for a match, but when he finds a player whom he deems a threat to himself, he focuses intensely on the player. He was also quite irritated when Kageyama said he seemed average despite his reputation as one of the top aces. Sakusa is described as a very cautious player, who will analyze a toss before spiking, a trait manifests itself in his daily habits as well. He is the only first-year to play as a starting regular on the volleyball team as a wing spiker and is acknowledged as the team's up-and-coming ace. ♡⑅*˖•. ·͙*̩̩͙˚̩̥̩̥*̩̩̥͙·̩̩̥͙*̩̩̥͙˚̩̥̩̥*̩̩͙‧͙ .•˖*⑅♡ Like most of Shiratorizawa, Goshiki is quite tall and has a medium build. He has black hair styled in a bowl cut manner, dark brown eyes, and matching colored eyebrows that thin out at the end. He holds a natural scowl for an expression and a sharp gaze. ╞═════𖠁𐂃𖠁═════╡ Goshiki is hardworking, ambitious, and enjoys showing off. Nearly every time he pulls off a good move, he looks around in excitement, wondering if anyone saw him and occasionally being told off by Shirabu for this. He takes great pride in being the next ace of the team and tries to always carry himself in such a manner. However, this can also be a great weak point for him as he can become overconfident in himself or falter under pressure and begin making mistakes. Though he appears serious and composed, Shirabu is extremely hotheaded and gets annoyed at many counter-methods his opponents use. While he is shown to be affected by the pressure applied to him, Shirabu is just as quick to realize his mistakes and correct himself. Shirabu is very studious and hardworking. Sometime after middle school, Atsumu dyed his hair blond and has a dark undercut. Unlike his twin brother, Osamu, his hair is flipped to the right side. His eyebrows are dark brown, an indication of his original hair color. His brown eyes are large, hooded, and slightly drooping. He can usually be seen wearing a smile or smirk on his face. ✎﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏ Outwardly, Atsumu appears to be a carefree, confident person who's usually seen with a lazy smile on his face, though he enjoys provoking people and giving offhand compliments. He also appears to be a perfectionist who has ridiculously high standards for himself and his spikers, which has caused several teammates to dislike him, but he appears unconcerned about their opinions. He strives to provide the best toss for his spikers, but in turn, expects the spikers to perform at a high standard. If the spikers fail to meet his standards, Atsumu is not afraid to confront them directly and even call them trash, including his own twin brother.

He was the starting libero for the Boys' Volleyball Team. ♡⑅*˖•. ·͙*̩̩͙˚̩̥̩̥*̩̩̥͙·̩̩̥͙*̩̩̥͙˚̩̥̩̥*̩̩͙‧͙ .•˖*⑅♡ Standing at 165 cm, Yaku is on the shorter side. He has brown eyes and short sandy blond hair. Yaku is usually seen wearing the Nekoma training uniform. During matches, he wears the libero uniform consisting of a white jersey with red and black accents, red shorts, and knee pads. Despite this, he can also be incredibly short-tempered, especially concerning Lev, who seems to find Yaku's angry outbursts "scary", although these outbursts are typically in response to Lev tactlessly commenting on Yaku's height and/or attempting to skip practicing receives with him.

He's often seen wearing a green track jacket over a white shirt with a black tie. In the manga, his tie is switched out for a spotted one. He has neatly parted light grey hair and catlike slanted green eyes framed with thin eyebrows. His half-Russian heritage gives him tall height, exceptional limb length and physical ability.
