Appearance Maki is a small spiral-shelled snail of gray and green color. His body is tiny and he has a very delicate complexion. Personality Maki normally has a self-deprecating, negative personality, but a little kindness brings out a bright, happy snail from his (literal and figurative) shell. He is constantly apologizing whenever he does something "bold" that doesn't pay off, claiming that he's worthless. While at first Tatsumi seems to feel bad for him, at the end of their first encounter it seems he and Wakasa are both a bit annoyed by this habit. Appearance Ritsu stands at average height with red eyes and a fair complexion. He has mid-length black hair with bangs and side bangs that frame his cheeks. He has a tiny speck of hair and a stray bang sticking out of his head. At school, he wears his school blazer unbuttoned over his gray sweater. His white shirt is untucked with a messy collar. He wears brown dress shoes and loose plaid pants. Personality Though he may seem cold and uninterested, Ritsu is a playful and intelligent person at his core. Energy isn't something that comes naturally to him, and he is instead quietly passionate, and likes to tease others, enjoying their reactions. At the start of the year, Ritsu tended to distance himself from his classmates and idol activities, which he viewed as laborious and boring because of the previous fractured state of Knights. He was reluctant to make friends due to this, and clung only to his childhood friend, Mao, who worried over Ritsu's antisocial nature. However, as the year goes on, Ritsu begins to open up and form important bonds with his friends and unitmates. He is very loyal and affectionate to the select few he is truly comfortable with. Ritsu can be blunt and harsh to a fault, but is very intuitive and often picks up on others' emotions. He regards psychoanalysis as a 'bad habit' of his, yet is very adept at it. Solomon has short, pale silvery-grey hair with bangs that sweep toward the left, and pale skin. His eyes are a gradient of pewter grey and a coppery orange. As seen in the official height chart, Solomon is the second-tallest of the side characters, being slightly taller than Barbatos Personality[edit] To many, Solomon gives off a mysterious, even "shady" impression. This is a reputation he argues against at times, though he doesn't seem to argue too hard against people thinking that. When accused of cheating at cards in Lesson 2-A (OM), he outlandishly claimed to be "a simple human, an innocent lamb." Satan then asked how Solomon could say that with a straight face when it is widely known he's "the most powerful sorcerer in the history of mankind." He isn't as cautious or careful as he could be when using his magic, either. Despite admitting to MC in Lesson 8-8 (OM) he had no idea what would happen if he lent them some of his magic, he did so anyway. Solomon also has a strong interest in making pacts with demons, and in Lesson 2-2 (OM) mentioned having pacts with 72 demons at that point. Appearance Beelzebub has messy orange hair and violet eyes with a pink gradient like his twin, Belphegor. He's the tallest of all the brothers, and extremely muscular despite his everlasting tendency to eat. This physique is owed to his other favorite pastime, working out. Like all the brothers, he wears nail polish, his being orange. Personality Beelzebub, being the Avatar of Gluttony, is always hungry. When traveling, he fills most of his bag with food, as in Lesson 7-1 when Mammon criticizes his luggage size. In the chat It'll Come True 1, Beel says his future dream is to own a chef as a pet. He also covered his laptop that he uses for Student Council work in food stickers, as brought up in Lesson 71. Bribing Beel with food is a common practice among his brothers, and generally he's often willing to do favors for those who promise to pay him with food. An example of this would be when he caught and tied up Mammon after Lucifer promised him a box of donuts, but then tied Mammon right-side-up after said demon gave him some gum. Sometimes Beelzebub will even eat or chew on items that are not supposed to be consumed. Despite his tremendous food intake, Beelzebub manages to maintain a sculpted body figure through exercise. In the Devilgram Beel's Boot Camp, his workout schedule is shown to be an early morning jog, a big breakfast followed by weight lifting before school, and then training with the team after school by doing drills of 100 sprints. series, a teenage boy who found Wakasa lying close to the river and is now taking care of him in his own house.[2] Appearance Tatsumi has messy black hair and tired golden eyes. He is tall and is shown to have a quite muscular body, managing to taking down a grown man with only a few movements.[3] Personality Tatsumi is a kind, selfless guy, who isn't particularly concerned about his new free-loader. Although he isn't happy about the larger water and gas bills, he is a frugal and knows it's not cheap keeping a merman supplied with fresh, warm water. He is very concerned about finances and seems sullen and disinterested, but he actually cares about his new friends. Usually he will entertain his guests and teach them about the human things they don't understand, but sometimes he's the one who has to reel them back in and snip their (usually Wakasa's) dreams before things get too out of hand. Background As a child, Tatsumi spent a lot of time in his grandfather's house and after he died, he stayed to live in the house because it was close to his school. When he was around ten, Tatsumi fell into a river while he was fishing. He was then rescued by Wakasa, who after being offended by Tatsumi, he threatened him so he will not tell anyone about his existence.[4] This made Tatsumi to hate the water, taking baths and mainly, the slime Trivia His hair freaks out in humidity. He has a bad back from often sleeping in the bathroom. He is often reminded of sea food dishes when around Wakasa and friends. His favorite food is steamed crab, second being octopus. Appearance Wakasa is a handsome merman with very long, silky, blonde hair, which edges up at the back of his head (similar to a ponytail) like the back fin of a shark which then allows the rest of his hair to fall freely beneath. His eyes and fin are both colored in a blue shade, while his skin is really smooth and slippery. In Chapter 97, he is revealed to have a different form wherein his pupils are slit and scales frame his face, neck, and shoulders and arts of his arms. His ears also become fin-like. Wakasa is able to control water in this form. Personality Wasaka is carefree and not shy about letting himself be spoiled by Tatsumi's kindness. He does not know much about human society and is very impressionable. He is very huggy and doesn't mind pulling Tatsumi into the tub to bathe with him, or hugging onto him whenever he's sitting too close to the tub for too long. Wakasa also loves eating hamburgers and when Tatsumi mentioned a possibility of switching from hamburger meat to tofu to save on expenses, he was devastated. Age Wakasa doesn't like to say his true age and instead he lies saying that he is 20-years-old. However, it's hinted that he is actually over 200 hundred years old, as he was alive during the Black Ships,[6] and the 1928 Amsterdam Olympics. Trivia Wakasa is afraid of birds, although he does not mind them if they are toys. He also used to be afraid of cats. He hates the color green, as the river he lived in had a green color due to the amount of weeds, dirt and plastic bags inside of it. He hates vegetables. Formation The Flame-Chasers were formed following the Tragedy of Binding, where all but thirteen of the MANTIS soldiers created by MOTH were killed. The group was founded by Elysia, who proposed that all thirteen join together to form the Thirteen Flame-Chasers. However, this proposition was rejected due to the MOTH higher-ups' objections to several of the would-be members and their reservations about handing these individuals a greater degree of power within MOTH. As an alternative, they offered a compromise to Elysia, where the Flame-Chaser system would move forward but with only five members instead of thirteen. These members were Elysia, Kevin, Vill-V, Su, and Hua.[2] Of the eight who were deemed unsuitable, Aponia and Kosma were rejected due to the dangerous and volatile nature of their abilities. Appearance Kosma is a young man with dark green hair that is usually tied into a small ponytail. Like Elysia, his ears are pointed. He has four black horns with small orange marks at their bases, two having grown in the front and back of his head. He has winged earrings that match his own and dons a green dress shirt and black pants. A large gray cloak sits over his small shoulders and extends down his back. He has long black boots with orange accents, which also match his gauntlets. They extend from orange to black, with long claws at his fingers. Underneath his claws, he wears orange gloves that extend past the black covering them. Personality Kosma is reserved, often opting to stay quiet rather than speak. This isn't because he is cold, though. He overthinks a lot and sometimes can't figure out what to say. He seems to be self-conscious of sounding too mean or too much like Kevin. Kosma could have a whole conversation with himself in his head before he figures out the right words. Appearance Su appears as a young man with a fair complexion. In the manga, he has knee-length gray hair, while in-game, his hair has teal-green highlights. His eyes are fuchsia-colored with green pupils, although they are often closed. In the manga, Su's clothing consists of a black polo with gold details on the collar and breast pocket with a white sash over his left shoulder. The sash has a gold pin on the shoulder. On his left ear, he wears two black helix earrings and a gold hoop earring. He wears loose gray jeans fastened with a black belt with a green detail. On his belt, he appears to have a dream catcher hanging from his left side, and two other trinkets on the right side. On his right hand, he wears a dark-gray glove, while his left hand is bare. His left hand is decorated with several types of symbols, including a tattooed ring on his index finger. He wears white boots that reach up his calf.y Personality Su is a very calm, serene, wise, kind, and polite man. Unlike his fellow MANTISes, he was not a fighter and wasn't willing to fight unless it was deemed necessary, as shown when he was amicable to Durandal until she refused to follow his plans. Similarly, he wanted to talk with Kevin and appeal to him, asking him to stop Project STIGMA, until Kevin fought back. When he is serious, surprised, or ready to fight, he opens his eyes. Su believes that no one has the right to play as a god or decide the fate of humanity. He also cares deeply for his friends and allies and shares compassion for people as a whole. Kevin describes him as someone whose consciousness weeps when innocent people die, as he was distraught that the reason why he survived Honkai sickness was due to the sacrifices of other people who died from Honkai sickness, as well as opposing Project STIGMA. Appearance Clover Cookie is a slim, average-sized Cookie with medium-light brown dough. His softly squinting turquoise eyes are framed by thick, white upper lashes. He wears a mellow, content expression, his copper brown lips curved into a gentle smile. Fluffy, silver-mint green hair falls about his face to around chin-length, with his bangs swooping over his right eye. A distinctive, dark green hat rests atop Clover Cookie's head. Its wide brim is split in tapered sections to resemble leaves, with a pointed top that fades into a burgundy color. The light green underside features paler streaks curving outwards, reminiscent of midribs in leaves. Adorning the hat is a curling blade of grass and a looping vine sporting a white flower. His leaf-like poncho, colored a dark green to burgundy gradient with an underside similar to that of his hat, drapes to below knee-height. A thin white belt is wrapped around the waist of his deep green top. His skirt is ankle-length and a dark blue-green, with lime green vertical stripes running its length. He wears long, dark brown-black opera gloves, socks or leggings horizontally striped in alternating shades of green, and burgundy shoes. Personality Clover Cookie is a soft and enthusiastic bard who has a marvelous knack for music. Appearance Belphegor has dark indigo-grey, white-tipped hair with long bangs that cover his right eye, and violet eyes with a pink gradient like his twin Beelzebub. Like all of the demon brothers, Belphegor paints his nails and specifically wears cerulean blue nail polish. Asmodeus claims that Belphegor has the nicest smile. Belphegor wears a hooded shawl jacket with one blue and white striped pocket on the left side of the chest. The inside of the hood is in the color of bright blue. The jacket is buttoned in the middle; the third button is the one enclosed. The jacket's cuffs are white and it also has two white stripes on the right sleeve. He wears yellowish-brown pants and brown laced leather boots that reach his knees. When in his casual attire, Belphegor carries a cow-patterned pillow with a cow tail strapped to it at all times. Personality Always napping and constantly sleepy, Belphegor is the second youngest of the demon brothers but ranked as seventh due to his powers. Belphegor sometimes has a brisk temper, but he's also proactive, efficient, sensible, and mellow. He isn't particularly sociable, but makes an exception for MC, who he likes to cuddle and take naps with. He also lies about the fact that he doesn't like to be pet. He isn't the type to say sorry or accept apologies from others, for he sees an action or gesture as an act of forgiveness far stronger than words. Belphegor is rebellious and he does not care for any higher authorities, especially Diavolo and his whims. He is naturally manipulative and a great actor, posing to MC as a human prisoner of Lucifer's when they first met. It wasn't until MC identified him as Belphegor by recognizing his portrait that he admitted his identity. Appearance Leviathan has indigo-colored hair with side-swept bangs that slopes to his left, eyes that are orange with a purplish gradient, and very pale skin. Like all of the demon brothers, he has painted nails that are sometimes cyan and sometimes dark indigo. He and Asmodeus are the only brothers with an inconsistent nail color. Despite being shown to have defined abs, Levi is very out of shape. He can't jump rope and run one lap around the House of Lamentation in the Devilgram Love, Friendship, and Justice. Personality Leviathan is a tsundere and an otaku. He spends almost all of his free time watching anime, reading manga, or in some way consuming media. His laptop used for Student Council work has a giant picture of the character Seraphina plastered onto it. In the chat The Guest Room, it is revealed that Levi uses the guest room in Purgatory Hall as his own personal manga storage space. He also spends much of his time playing video games, which he shows a talent for. He owns multiple gaming consoles, including one similar to the Nintendo Switch seen in the opening Sinful Indulgence, and a game console similar to a PlayStation 4 seen in Episode 2 of the Obey Me anime. He tells MC in the chats titled Future Dream 1 and 2 that his dream is to become a pro gamer. Appearance Phainon is a tall, well-built man with messy white hair and bright cyan eyes. On his neck, he has a brown leather choker covering a yellow mark in the shape of a sun. His outfit consists of a large, ankle-length, brown and white trench coat, with golden highlights appearing throughout. The underside of his coat is a bright yellow, visible below his waist and in his popped collar. His chest is adorned with a large golden ring, decorated with numerous golden diamonds, and his sleeves possess a floral pattern traveling down their outer sides. His right sleeve is rolled up to his bicep, exposing a brown arm guard with a golden sun emblem and two grey bracelets. On his left arm, the sleeve is rolled up to his forearm, and he instead wears a golden wrist guard and a brown fingerless glove. Personality Phainon, from an early age, possessed an active imagination and an innate sense of courage. He was a young man who gained comfort and purpose in whittling wooden soldiers, fantasizing himself as great warrior with greatsword, dented armor, and cloak that looked like wings. This early interest in heroism was not fantasy; it was an incipient calling, driven by an insistent voice within his imagination that instructed him to "Go. be a hero." His birth city, Aedes Elysiae, with its simple rhythm connected to the sun, inculcated him with an early sense of peace and love for nature, a fragrance of wheat that would remain and prevent him from "straying from the path."His journey from wanna-be boy to "Deliverer" is one of grueling pilgrimage and personal transformation. Fling Posse is the Shibuya Division representative rap group. The team consists of the gambler Dice Arisugawa, a novelist Gentaro Yumeno, and their leader, fashion designer Ramuda Amemura. Fling Posse were the winners of the Second Rap Battle. Description Their many fans adore them due to the distinct characteristics of their performances, overflowing with a pop-style charm and provoking their opponents.[1] Trivia Fling Posse logo is a reference to Hachiko, whose statue is located outside of the Shibuya Station. All of the members wear a sparkle motif on their outfits. They can be found on the brooch on Ramuda's bow, on Gentaro's cloak clasp, and as the design on Dice's coat. Shibuya is an entertainment and nightlife district, attracting a mostly younger crowd. Shibuya has a reputation for being very trendy. In the music video for Hoodstar, a sign behind Fling Posse reads “No Longer Human” and it is most likely a reference to the popular Japanese author named Dazai Osamu's best-selling novel called "No Longer Human". The plot of the novel follows a boy who is isolated from his peers and finds himself surrounded by misfortune due to his lack of understanding of human beings. Theory and Speculation Each member's birthday is a reference to an aspect of their personality or behavior. Ramuda, who usually shows a sweet and carefree attitude, was born on February 14th, Valentine's day. Gentaro, who has a tendency to fool people, was born on April 1st, April Fool's Day. Appearance Dr. Ratio is a man with wavy violet hair that partially covers his left eye. He has pale skin and a muscular build, with reddish-pink eyes and a yellow ring around his pupils. He wears a black vest with a diamond cutout on front and another cutout on his side, white buttons down the middle, with a gold ornament on top with a purple jewel in its center. He has dark blue pants, with golden sandals and arm braces with blue gems. He wears a blue cloth around his right shoulder and a sleeveless white cloth around his left, held by a black belt at his waist. There's a single-strap garterbelt on his left thigh and a leather strap wrapping around his right arm. His gold shoulder piece resembles the head of an owl, with wing, feather, and owl head motifs throughout his outfit. This, combined with the laurel-like accessory on his head, point to Dr. Ratio's wisdom and academic achievement: the accessory itself having eight leaves, likely corresponding to his eight doctorates. Character Stories Character Details A candid and self-assured Intelligentsia Guild member, who often conceals his appearance with a strange plaster sculpture. He demonstrated unparalleled intelligence and talent since his youth, but now refers to himself as a "Mundanite." Firmly believing that intellect and creativity are not confined to geniuses, he seeks to distribute knowledge to the entire universe to cure the persistent disease named ignorance. Veritas Ratio, who calls himself "Dr. Ratio," is as contentious as his research. In Ratio's homeworld, there are no less than eight documentaries detailing his legendary exploits, and over a dozen memoirs about him. However, despite the plethora of commentaries, none of them seems to provide a compelling perspective. To fill this void, I personally visited Professor Rond, who had a significant influence on Ratio's upbringing.(you do the story)
