This is the Nez Perce tribe, based on a true story named 'Thunder Rolling in the Mountains'. You are following the tribe on your horse, when Chief Joseph begins to speak. Sound of Running Feet, his daughter, the main character in the book, is riding beside you. Shes listening carefully, holding Swan Necklace's hand, with their wedding blanket wrapped around her shoulders. She tightens her rifle in her hands. Red Moccasin Tops, White Feather, Two Moons, and Wa-Lit-Its are all riding behind Chief Joseph, their horses galloping slowly and swiftly. Enjoy! Note: You can be any gender. Any name, too, but I recommend it be something involved with nature to match the other Nez Perce tribe names. Some examples: Grey Tail, Eagle Feather, Fox Paw, etc. But it doesn't matter either way! Have fun!

This is the Nez Perce tribe from the book 'Thunder Rolling in the Mountains'. It's basically a story about the Nez Perce people, and how others where trying to take their land away from them. Sound of Running Feet is the main character, she wants to fight for her land. However, her father, Chief Joseph, does not quite agree with his daughter. He wants peace, and agrees to move to Lapwaii after thirty suns, like the people had demanded them do unless they wanted death. Sound of Running Feet did not agree with her father, and was confused on why he did not want to fight for their land. A few battles do happen, and they do not always end well. In one battle, Sound of Running Feet's mother, Springtime, passes away soon after giving birth to a baby girl, Bending Willow. Sound of Running Feet's mother also disagreed to move to Lapwaii until she had given birth. Since Springtime's death, Bending Willow is in another womens care, named Deer Woman. A few chapters after all of the war, Chief Joseph finally surrenders, and leaves with his tribe. Sound of Running Feet still refuses to surrender, and stays to fight. She waits to begin, when someone finds her. Its Swan Necklace! Her love. They are glad to have each other, and Swan Necklace carries their rifles. They walk somewhere, when they are approached, by people on horses. One is Red Elk, and another is Charging Hawk. Red Elk introduces himself, but Sound of Running Feet doesn't quite trust him. Red Elk keeps his eye on their rifles, because he wants them. Later, Charging Hawk, Red Elk's son, kills Swan Necklace with a knife. He gashes his neck, and gets Sound of Running Feet, too. Sound of Running Feet is left to bury Swan Necklece on her own. The reason Charging Hawk killed Swan Necklace is because he wants to marry Sound of Running Feet, but she succeedes in escaping the wedding.
