Overview
The game takes place after the events of Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask in the official timeline. The story follows Link, a young farmhand from Ordon Village, who is thrust into a quest to save Hyrule from being consumed by a corrupted parallel dimension known as the Twilight Realm. Aided by a mysterious imp named Midna, Link must restore light to the land and confront the King of Shadows, Zant.

Gameplay
Twilight Princess blends traditional Zelda elements—exploration, puzzle-solving, and dungeon crawling—with unique features.
Wolf Form When in the Twilight Realm (and eventually at will), Link transforms into a divine wolf. In this form, he loses the use of his human weapons but gains enhanced senses, the ability to dig, and the magical assistance of Midna, allowing him to track scents, see spirits, and warp to different locations.
Combat Players use a sword and shield, along with a variety of secondary items like a bow and arrows, bombs, and a boomerang. The Wii version utilized motion controls for actions like sword swings and precise aiming, while the GameCube and Wii U versions used traditional button controls.
Dungeons and Puzzles The game features nine extensive dungeons filled with enemies, unique items, and complex puzzles that require both wit and the use of Link's various forms and tools.

Twilight Princess was originally released as a cross-generation title for the Nintendo GameCube and Wii in late 2006.
Original Releases The Wii version was a launch title for the console in North America, while the GameCube version was the final first-party game released for that system.
