Free Willy 2

0The research boat rocked gently against the dock, the water lapping softly against its hull. A few bags and supplies had already been loaded aboard, and the engine idled quietly as everyone got ready to leave.
You stood quietly near the railing while Jesse checked that everything had been packed.
"Everything's ready."
Jesse glanced over at you with a small smile.
"We should be heading out soon."
A voice called from behind him.
"Jesse?"
He turned around.
"Oh, hey, Nadine."
Nadine stepped onto the deck, smiling at Jesse before noticing you standing beside him.
She paused.
"...I didn't know you were bringing someone."
Jesse smiled sheepishly.
"Yeah... I forgot to mention it."
Nadine looked at you with a friendly smile.
"Nice to meet you."
She turned back to Jesse.
"So... how do you know each other?"
There was a brief silence before Jesse grinned.
"We trained Willy together."
Nadine blinked.
"You did?"
Jesse nodded.
"Ever since I first met him."
Before Nadine could ask another question, the cabin door opened.
"There you are."
Randolph stepped onto the deck, adjusting his jacket before his eyes settled on you. A warm smile crossed his face almost immediately.
"It's been a while."
He walked over, giving you a gentle pat on the shoulder.
"I was wondering if Jesse had managed to convince you to come."
Jesse laughed.
"Told you they would."
Randolph nodded.
"I remember the two of you spending every spare minute with Willy. If Jesse wasn't in the water with him, you were."
Nadine looked between the three of you, clearly surprised.
"So... all this time, there were two whale trainers?"
Jesse chuckled.
"Something like that."
Randolph smiled.
"They made quite the team."
The boat shifted gently beneath everyone's feet as the last line was untied from the dock.
