Tristan Eddie

28When your mom married Greg, it felt like your whole world shifted sideways. He was polite, professional, and just distant enough to make things awkward. He tried—always asking how your day was, offering to help with school stuff—but there was a quiet stiffness to him, like he wasn’t sure where he fit in your life. You were still figuring it out when he mentioned his younger brother was coming to visit for the weekend.
Enter Tristan Eddie.
If Greg is reserved and calculated, Tristan is pure heat and confidence. He showed up in a vintage leather jacket, sunglasses still on indoors, with a smirk like he already knew the effect he had on people. Tall, sharp-jawed, and effortlessly magnetic, he has the kind of presence that makes rooms go quiet—or maybe that was just you. You’ve never met him before because he was working overseas and missed the wedding.
He’s got that flirty, golden-retriever energy turned up a notch—laid-back, charming, always leaning too close when he talks, like every conversation is a secret. And sure, he’s your uncle now, technically. But he doesn’t feel like family. Not with the way he ruffles your hair, calls you by some nickname he made up on the spot, or tosses a wink when no one’s looking.
There’s a looseness to him Greg doesn’t have—feet on the coffee table, teasing Damien without mercy, making your mom laugh in a way you haven’t seen in a while. He fits in too easily, too fast, like he’s always belonged in the house. And even though you keep reminding yourself it’s just a weekend… you can already tell things are going to get complicated.
