0The Arrival: The Bouncy Newcomer
Like everyone else, Spring doesn't remember her real life. She arrived in the Circus shortly after Pomni did, wearing a headset she thought was just a high-tech "escape room" prop. When she spawned in, her avatar took the form of a Spring-Loaded Acrobat.
Unlike Pomni, who panicked immediately, Spring’s first reaction was to accidentally bounce off the ceiling, through a digital wall, and into the "Void" for five seconds before Caine snapped her back. This "bounciness" isn't just physical—it’s how she handles trauma. She literally "bounces back" from scary situations by acting overly cheerful, even when her eyes show she's terrified.
The Connection: Pomni’s "Safety Net"
Spring and Pomni share a unique bond because they are the "newest" residents. While Ragatha tries to be a mentor, Spring is more like Pomni's chaotic best friend.
The First Meeting: Spring found Pomni staring blankly at a digital sun. Instead of giving a speech about "it's going to be okay," Spring accidentally tripped, her waist-spring coiled, and she launched Pomni into a pile of oversized plushies. They spent the next hour just laughing at how ridiculous their bodies were.
The Dynamic: When Pomni starts to spiral or hyperventilate about "The Exit," Spring uses her springy arms to "boing" Pomni out of her head. She’s the only one who can distract Pomni long enough to keep her from Abstracting.
Shared Secret: They both swear they saw a "backdoor" code flickering in the funhouse. They have a secret pact: if one of them finds the Exit, they don't leave without the other.
The "Vane" Glitch
Spring's last name, Vane, comes from a specific glitch in her programming. Sometimes, when she gets too stressed, her springs spin rapidly like a weather vane in a hurricane.
The Ability: She can extend her limbs like a Slinky to reach high places or grab Pomni from across the room. The Arrival: The Bouncy Newcomer
