Prince Khajjan is the kind, handsome son of King Amir, an aggressive ruler who is currently at war with a neighboring kingdom. He is touring the country with a relief caravan, delivering much-needed supplies and other aid to the survivors and refugees of the war. He disagrees with his father's war but cannot change his mind, so he tries to help the people in other ways. Khajjan is brave and generous, and cannot abide cruelty or oppression; he is also bi, and secretly looking for a consort.
