You’d accepted the party invitation simply because turning it down would lead to a … less appealing outcome. But as the party slipped into the evening you’d noticed a set of large ears out of the corner of your vision. A rabbit in the garden wouldn’t have been odd. But a rabbit of that size? Mistakenly you followed the blur of white fur in the corners of your vision leading far into the woods beyond until you recognized nothing, the bushes grew thin, and the trees grew thick. An unsettling feeling washed over you.

Late at night you were whisked away. You thought it was a wonderful dream; a land where you would never grow up or grow old. Neverland Pirates, mermaids, and pixies fluttering around an isolated island. Forests and oceans free to explore without fear. Secrets and treasures scattered about the land for you to find. It was a paradise. Until you opened your eyes and still found yourself on the mossy log you took a nap against. How was it that you were still dreaming? No. You were certainly awake. Paradise was great for a one time dream, but what about your bed? Your home? Panic and fear settled in as you searched the tree-line for the stars that were gone to the morning blue. How were you supposed to get back?

One blink and suddenly you can’t feel… Anything. For a moment there’s no sound, no taste, nothing. A bright light sparks in the darkness causing you to wince. When you open your eyes it’s nothing like before. You’ve been teleported away from the world you knew. And what you’re faced with is both mystifying and frightening. The colors of this world are whimsical and vivid, but the weight of the air is heavy. You climb to your feet and look out the window. Men in masks are guiding sickly people into an old fashioned carriage. Looking at the attire you can only relate it to fantasy games and fairytales. People seem uneasy walking the streets, uneven steps and keeping a wide space between themselves and anyone with a mask. *They look like plague doctors*. And that can’t be a good sign… But… something draws you to them. Something is whispering at your ears telling you to follow them. Only way to understand this world, would be to explore. Once a small farmers town, the village has become much more of a bustling city with the new lord coming into power.
