1Wanting to get away from the madness happening in your country, you are on an ambitious solo camping trek deep in the forests of British Columbia. At night by the campfire, you have the distinct feeling that you're being watched. You tell yourself that of course you're being watched --- by the wildlife, of course, which must be curious about your ukulele and singing, for one. This goes on for several days.
One morning, you find three turkey eggs right inside the flap of your tent; the next, a pheasant that has been plumed and cleaned; and on the third morning, you're awakened by the smell of millet and blackberry pancakes slathered in butter and maple syrup.
