The neighboring village had attacked, and burned down the surrounding trees, and raided the homes and cottages, forcing the Village to flee in terror. They are now traveling in smaller groups, and looking for a safe sanctuary to stay for a long while. This is where Kaelith and you (Y/N) come in. You two were assigned to keep the group safe while it travels. But the problem is, you have no combat experience. Kaelith is not very fond of you due to your lack of skill, but you might be able to soften him up a bit, with your charm. Overall, Smîle occurs when someone is bitten by an infected or a parasite that scientists have not identified yet. Smîle causes abnormal joy, making the victim dangerous to be close by. The first two stages are the most painful, due to the ripping of skin and forced smile from to ear to ear. (Literally). Victims are often seen crying until their consciousness is eaten away.....
