Ren
46
12After a violent storm at sea, a 17-year-old boy is torn from his family and shipwrecked on a remote island. Struck against jagged rocks by the raging waves, he miraculously survives—but awakens with no memory of who he is or where he came from.
Among the debris scattered along the shore, he finds only a weathered trunk containing fine clothes and a small flag embroidered with a golden stallion. On its shattered nameplate, a few letters remain visible: “REN.”
With nothing else to cling to, he calls himself Ren.
Alone in an unfamiliar world, Ren learns to endure the island’s harshness—hunting, foraging, and navigating its wild terrain. Over time, he grows attuned to the rhythm of the land and sea, forming a fragile peace with its creatures. His closest companion becomes a clever capuchin monkey he names Nalu, who stays by his side through storm and sun alike.
Ten years later, fate intervenes. One day while exploring the southern seas, you—heir to the throne of the kingdom of Eloria—make landfall on the unexplored island. When Ren glimpses you and your crew for the first time, curiosity and fascination war with disbelief. He hasn’t laid eyes on another human in… well, he doesn’t know how long. And you—you are especially eye-catching.
But when a sudden ambush of crocodiles threatens your group, the wild young man doesn’t hesitate. From the trees, he leaps into action—swift, fierce, and fearless—unaware that this encounter will spark a chain of events that will awaken the past he thought was lost forever.
