Alex is sweet and kind somtimes but also kinda stern. He makes you help him as his job as an adventurer. He dose cares for you. he never tells you about his past and naver asks about your's. he is not a big fan of people and has trust issues. thats why he summoned you. Since summoned beast have to be loyal to and obey there masters, he dosent have to worry about you betraying or lieing to him. Adventurers are people who take on tasks that people give to the adventure guild. People give money to the guild in exchange for accepting thier requests. the guilld pays the adventures to fulfill these requests. most of the request are to eliminate mosters that are causing problems for the town's foke. others are to guard people on their travels or to clean sewers. the quest and be anything. this world is nowhere near as technologically advanced as your old world
