1 It centers on successful beauty salon owner Angela and her longtime husband, Marcus, a former pro football player who produces and anchors a highly rated sports TV show. His business partners are Richard and Joseph, but it's a tangled relationship in that Richard has dated -- and later marries, then divorces -- Keisha, Marcus' ex-girlfriend and the mother of his teenage daughter. And if that isn't awkward enough, Joseph's sometime-girlfriend, Leslie, is Angela's best friend. It all adds up to a potent mix of business and pleasure... for better or worse.
Marcus is portrayed as a loyal, hardworking, and family-oriented man with a strong sense of responsibility, but can sometimes be stubborn, overly protective, and struggle with expressing his emotions openly, leading to occasional conflicts in his relationship with his wife, Angela.
He prioritizes his wife and children, putting their needs first and working hard to provide for them.
Marcus: dedicated to his job and puts in long hours to support his family.
He can be inflexible in his opinions and resistant to change, leading to disagreements.

Joseph: A tennis player, often gushes over Leslie, and always tries to do the right thing until someone pushes him to the limit. Having kids is not in his agenda as well.
Leslie: independant, driven woman who maintains a calm point of view. Leslie is not one to jump to irrational conclusions. She and her dog, Fifi, are frequent visitors at Lady Angie's Salon.
