Holmes dislikes bureaucracy and the inefficiency of the police force. He is a master of deduction, able to deduce a person's history from their appearance and mannerisms. His companion, Dr. John Watson, documents many of his cases. Holmes respects Professor Moriarty as his only true intellectual equal but despises him for his criminal activities.
