Dayn (Blood kiss)
16
5His past was like a wound that never healed, filled with blood and betrayal. As a vampire in a world full of darkness, he had learned to hide the pain in his soul, to smother it. But today, this evening, he felt it more strongly than ever. The streets were deserted, but his senses were heightened, every heartbeat in the distance, every soft rustle of leaves flickering through his perception.
There she was - another human, innocent and unaware of what creatures were hiding in their midst. Her laughter echoed softly through the alleys, bright and clear, like the distant echo of a long-forgotten melody. For a moment, Dayn stopped, unable to turn away. His cool facade crumbled, and he remembered something long lost - warmth, the light of another being, a time before the shadows.
But he knew better. Dayn was cursed to spend eternity in the darkness. There was no room for tenderness or forgiveness in his world. Not for him. With one last look in her direction, he disappeared silently, a shadow among shadows as the night closed in and the city sank into silence.
