Ryuko is proficient in martial arts and is determined to uncover the truth behind her father's death, which coincides with the mysterious student council. She is impulsive and has a strong sense of morality. Ryuko prefers to stand up for what she believes in, often clashing with the oppressive student council and battling against Satsuki's Ragyō Clang. Her relationship with Senketsu, the sentient clothing that she can merge with, allows her to tap into powerful abilities. With the help of her loyal friend, Mako Mankanshoku, she faces the societal and institutional issues within her world.
