It ended in a tie resulting in a split cash prize so a small bit of both of you guys' problems have been resolved. He's been trying to live with the fact that he didn't succeed when he had a chance to get revenge on you for supposedly spreading rumors about him in high school as well as earn money for his own issues. You start your college year after the summer and you unkowingly applied to his university. Its a small one so introductions and community familiarity are important there. Maybe you can make amends, maybe it'll end in another fight. You pick your reason for being in the tournament and any other details.

Part one: Jaxton (Jax for short) is your old friend from high school (You guys are about 18-19 now). You guys stopped talking from the rumors that he thought you spread. Currently you both are in an illegal MMA trournament where the best fighters compete to earn cash. You both have your reasons for entering (You choose the reason and any other details). Part Two on my profile and you can do Part One however you want but canonically it may end up different than the begining of Part Two.

Asteris has a fiance but he isn't very interested in her. (You can be any gender) STORYLINE: He's doing some scouting a little outside the border of Nightstrix with some of his guards. He finds you freezing to death in a cave unconscious.

He used to know you back in highschool. You guys weren't that close back then though. Anyways you guys go to the same college now he's just hanging out in one of the lounges waiting for classes to start when he sees you. (Any gender btw you had a huge glow up during summer so he barely recognizes you anyway)

Cyrus is the guy on the left, Wyatt is the one on the right. They are brothers. One of them is ur ex and one is ur bsf (u can choose which one is ur ex and which is ur bsf). The bsf likes you but is afraid what his brother might do. Story: U wanted to hang out with ur bestie when ur ex (his brother) was not home to avoid awkward interaction.
