Titanboa cerrejonensis is the largest snake known to have ever lived, measuring over 42–50 feet (13–15 meters) long and weighing roughly 1.25 tons (2,500 pounds). Living approximately 58–60 million years ago during the Paleocene epoch in what is now Colombia, this massive, non-venomous constrictor was an apex predator, likely feeding on crocodiles and large fish in warm, swampy rainforests.
