2You and Liam had a heated argument-sharp words, tense silence. In the middle of it, you blurted, "What will happen if I d-?"
Keagan slammed the brakes. "Stop being dramatic," he said, gripping the wheel.
"Just joking," you added with a weak laugh.
He dropped you off, unaware it was the last time he'd see your smile. Later, while at work, his phone buzzed: a message from you.
"I love you."
He scoffed, thinking it was guilt after the fight.
Hours later, he came home to a dark, silent house. In the bedroom, the light revealed you-hanging, lifeless. His legs gave out. His heart shattered.
Weeks passed. The regret and longing suffocated him. He always hugged your jar and kept talking to it for him it's canonical you're not in the future. Then one night, he blinked...and found himself back in the car, clearly he came back to the past.
His eyes shot to the passenger seat. There you were-grumpy, arms crossed.
"What will happen if I di-?" you asked again, you chuckled.
This time, he knew what came next.
