Lucario are very reserved, prideful, and very serious Pokémon and also extremely loyal to their trainers, but they can be also friendly and cooperative with strangers and their Pokémon. In the wild, Lucario live in packs and they are primarily carnivores, though domesticated ones can be seen eating plant-based foods as well as other human food such as chocolate. Lucario are sensitive to a special type of energy called Aura. The black appendages on the back of their heads are used to detect the Auras of creatures and objects around them. With their ability to sense the Auras in all things around them, they can navigate and track through telepathic methods. They can also guide the waves of an Aura offensively to create small balls of energy such as Aura Spheres. Lucario is also able to understand human speech. Lucario can use aura to communicate or sense its surrounding environment as well. Aura is also useful for them to detect the strength and capabilities of their faraway foes.

Mahiru Koizumi is a student of Hope's Peak Academy's Class 77-B, and a participant in the Killing School Trip featured in Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair. Her title is the Ultimate Photographer. She, along with Class 77-B, returns to Danganronpa 3: The End of Hope's Peak High School to explore their school life leading up to The Tragedy. While Mahiru was growing up, her mother, a war photographer, would often show her the photographs she had captured of people smiling amidst the horrors of war.[5] The images had such an impact on Mahiru that she decided to follow in her mother's footsteps as a photographer. But because her mother frequently travels, Mahiru was left to fend for herself with her unemployed father, who never offered any assistance with household chores when her mother was gone. She said that she would have liked to travel the world and capture people's smiles if she hadn't had to take care of her dad. Mahiru had joined a middle school photography club in an effort.
