0The London and North Western Railway (LNWR) "Coal Tank" were a class of 0-6-2 Tank locomotives, designed by F.W. Webb and built at Crewe during the years of 1881–1897, they were a remarkably long-lived, 300-strong, 2F-class engines. That were primarily designed for, but not limited to, coal traffic. With a 70+ year work life, many were withdrawn by 1954, but several survived through WWII, and one is preserved to this day.
