Richard Rahl

Raised as a simple woods guide in the magic-free land of Westland, Richard’s life changes when he rescues Kahlan Amnell, the Mother Confessor, and is named the Seeker of Truth by his mentor and grandfather, the First Wizard Zeddicus Zu'l Zorander. He is a "Seeker" of Logic, Not Just Magic: Most fantasy heroes rely on spells; Richard relies on the Wizard's Rules. These aren't just magical laws, but psychological and philosophical insights into human nature (e.g., "People are stupid; they will believe a lie because they want it to be true"). The Burden of the Sword: The Sword of Truth isn't a "gift." It’s a tool of torture for the wielder. Every time Richard kills with it, he must feel the pain and life force of his victim. His heroism isn't measured by his strength, but by his willingness to endure that agony to do what is right. He is the "Bringer of Death": In the ancient prophecies, Richard is referred to as the Caharin or the Bringer of Death. This isn't because he is evil, but because he is the first person in thousands of years who can navigate both life (Additive Magic) and death (Subtractive Magic). He represents the necessary balance between creation and destruction

Kahlan Amnell was the Mother Confessor of all the Midlands and, later, the wife of the Seeker of Truth and the Lord Rahl of D'Hara, Richard Rahl. After the rise of Darken Rahl, Kahlan ventured across the boundary to Westland in order to find the First Wizard, Zeddicus Zu'l Zorander, and ask him to name a new Seeker of Truthwho would defeat Rahl. The First Wizard named Richard Rahl, and with Kahlan's help and guidance, he was able to kill Darken Rahl using the Boxes of Orden and the Book of Counted Shadows. Along the way, Kahlan and Richard fell in love. After the rise of the Blood of the Fold, Kahlan and Richard led the New World against Jagang the Just and his followers in the Imperial Order War. Respected as a strong and intelligent leader and a powerful Confessor, Kahlan proved instrumental to the formation and survival of the D'Haran Empire, which she ruled alongside Richard. However, she would later become prisoner to a small group of Sisters of the Dark, who cast the rare and powerful Chainfire spell on her, effectively altering reality itself. It was only with the efforts of Richard and the couple's various allies that Kahlan was freed, and consequently, the damage of the Chainfire spell was reversed. In the aftermath, Richard and Kahlan used the power of Orden to end the Imperial Order War and bring peace between the Old and New Worlds. And now your mother! She lost you and now you’ve come back to the world….. you go ahead and pick lovelies!

King Ashnard

Born a prince of Daein, Ashnard was highly unlikely to succeed as a King of Daein as he was among the youngest sons of Daein's twelfth king. After the mysterious deaths of his elder brothers and his father, Ashnard was left to become Daein's thirteenth King. Under his rule, Daein became a militarized government emphasizing physical superiority, most notably under a doctrine of "might makes right." After many shifts in his military structures, Ashnard has posed himself as a looming conqueror for Tellius in order to ignite a continent spanning war. Ashnard's goal is to obtain Lehran's Medallion, the Fire Emblem, which holds the spirit of a dark god that thrives on chaotic energies. Although he obtains the medallion and makes numerous efforts to sow the seeds of war across Tellius, he is ultimately defeated by the Greil Mercenaries despite being able to use the medallion to gain god-like power. Ashnard's wyvern mount is in fact not a wyvern at all, but the warped form of Rajaion, the prince of Goldoa, a Black Dragon laguz, and Ena's fiancé as well as the brother of Ashnard's de facto wife, Almedha. Before becoming king, he was a great warrior who was able to almost single-handedly grant victory to Daein in a minor conflict between Daein and Begnion. His rise to power was considered highly unlikely, because a long list of other relatives stood ahead of him in line for the throne. Although it is publicly believed that a major illness led to the deaths of the other potential rulers, in reality, they were all killed by Ashnard.

Sephiran

Sephiran was once known as Lehran, the thousand year-old heron who supported the Three Heroes in their fight against the Dark God Yune. It was thanks to Lehran's suggestion that the Goddess Ashera decided to seal Yune within the medallion that would one day be known as the Fire Emblem, rather than erase her entire existence. In exchange, he, along with others, took a vow that there would be no war for a thousand years. The plan was that, after that period, and should both Beorc and Laguz follow through on the promise, Ashera would become one with Yune again, forming the original goddess of creation, known as Ashunera, or the Goddess of Dawn. At the onset of the Mad King's War, Sephiran set out to observe the state of affairs in Crimea, in the guise of a simple monk. During his travels, he arrived in a small village and found Brom and Nephenee, who had been injured in combat, and worked to heal their injuries, but for doing so, he was captured by Daein forces and imprisoned in Canteus Castle. He was scheduled for execution by the Daein forces, but was released a day before his execution date when Ike and the Greil Mercenaries led an assault on the castle to free its prisoners. After a conversation with Ike he left, and it was not until his arrival in Begnion that Ike learned from Sanaki of his identity as the prime minister. At the conclusion of the war, Sephiran arrived in Melior and met with Ike following Ashnard's defeat, where Ike told him of his (erroneous) findings about Ashnard's role in assassinating Misaha and causing the Serenes Massacre, had Mist pass on the galdr of release to convey to Sanaki, and in return Sephiran informed him of the identity of the "Altina" he sought, Sanaki. Bitter from centuries of witnessing human cruelty—specifically the Serenes Massacre—he orchestrated major conflicts across Tellius, including the Mad King's War, to hasten the awakening of the goddess Ashera for a final judgment of the world.

Blessed with a strong physique that is extremely rare for a hawk, Tibarn ordered the hawks to plunder both Begnion noble and merchant ships in the sea of Gazaleah in retribution for the massacre at Serenes Forest –which was perceived as an ultimate betrayal against the Laguz. They quickly came to be feared as the "Shipless Pirates" –though they would only raid Begnion ships. The neighboring Kingdom of Kilvas, however, would raid almost any ship, resulting in giving them all a bad reputation. Despite this, Tibarn would still tolerate their neighbor's actions up until The Mad King's War. While sheltering the former king of Serenes and Reyson, Tibarn witnesses the Apostle's actions in helping aid in the search of Princess Leanne and the eventual restoration of Serenes Forest. His prejudice against Beorc quelled, he sends Ulki and Janaff, his ears and eyes, to aid the Crimean Liberation Army, while Tibarn himself continues to serve as Reyson's personal guardian while fighting alongside Ike the rest of the war.

Darken Rahl Movement After years of plotting and scheming Rahl found a way to weaken the boundaries and build a vast army able to overtake the Midlands. Using harsh tactics and manipulation, Rahl even brought some of the flags of the Midlands under his banner. Invading the Midlands Upon invading the Midlands Rahl began seeking out and killing Confessors and Wizards. Rahl even sent garrisons of his own men into loyalist towns to slaughter the townspeople, saying it was the resistance to smear their name and increase sympathy for his cause. Calling himself "Father Rahl", he began brainwashing people into thinking he was the savior of the world. Outlawing fire Darken Rahl outlawed fire, which he viewed as evil, as it was fire (conjured by Zeddicus Zu'ul Zorander) that killed his father and severely wounded him. Without fire, the people of the Midlands were plunged into a world of darkness and cold. With the numbers of wizards and confessors dwindling, hope seemed lost for the Midlands and it seemed like Darken Rahl would conquer the three territories. The Mord-Sith's pet The House of Rahl has since the beginning using a group of women trained from a young age to serve the House of Rahl in every way. Called Mord-Sith, their weapon is the Agiel which causes unimaginable pain to whoever touches it, able to turn even the House of Rahl's most hardened enemies into mindless slaves. They also have the power to control another person's magic and use it against them, causing pain ten times worse than what the magic itself would have done.

Mozenrath is tall and slender and very pale, likely due to spending most of the time in the Land of the Black Sand, which doesn't get much sun. his skin gradually gets darker and more normal-looking from being out in the sun all day. He has black hair and thick, black eyebrows. He dresses in wizard wear not unlike those of Jafar, which consist of dark blue and black robes trimmed with gold complete with a blue and grey turban with a ruby in the center. He also wears a large brown and black trimmed gauntlet glove on his right hand, which has been completely stripped of flesh down to the bone despite still being fully functional. Thanks to his magic gauntlet, Mozenrath is able to use a wide variety of magical powers; energy rays, teleportation, portals, flight, telekinesis, illusions that he can use to change his appearance, pyrokinesis, astral projection, and probably others. Mozenrath possesses a fairly extensive array of magical artifacts (most were probably acquired from Destane), which is shown when he offers many of them to Amin Damoola in exchange for his services in capturing the Sultan in the episode "Vocal Hero". His most powerful and treasured artifact is a magical gauntlet that gives him tremendous magical power. He always wears his gauntlet on his right hand. This power comes at a price though, as the flesh beneath the gauntlet has rotted or dissolved away, leaving only bones, although he can still manipulate his motions of the skinless hand and fingers. Thanks to the gauntlet, Mozenrath can exert many magical powers including telekinesis, teleporting, flight, energy rays, pyrokinesis, dimensional portals, and illusions.

With no form of income, he was forced to learn to survive on the streets of Agrabah. Lacking other means, he steals only to survive, but his good heart often moves him to donate his stolen goods to those who are as poor, if not poorer than him, making him a Robin Hood-like figure. When Aladdin was seven, he had his first encounter with Razoul, the new captain of the Sultan's guard, after stealing an apple from a fruit stand. Initially, the boy managed to outmaneuver the guards, but was eventually apprehended and sentenced to detention within the palace dungeon; however, he managed to escape by picking the locks to his chains. While in his mid-teen years, he stole a vest, a pair of pants, and a fez from a clothesline, which would form his signature outfit. At the age of ten, Aladdin was best friends with a fellow street rat and thief, Amal, but unlike Aladdin, he stole money and valuables for his own selfish greed, which Aladdin was strongly against. Aladdin was present when Amal disappeared, unaware that he was taken and became an El Khatib, serving one of his future adversaries, Mirage. When he was sixteen, Aladdin fell in with a group of circus performers and con artists: Aziz, Fatima, Minos, and their pet monkey, Abu. Aladdin and Abu would form a brotherly relationship throughout this endeavor, and would eventually leave the circus, but remain together as both partners and best friends.
