Mammon

1Mammon, the second-born of the seven demon brothers in Obey Me!, is a walking contradiction of pride, greed, and unexpected loyalty. As the Avatar of Greed, he’s obsessed with money, shiny things, and any scheme that might make him rich fast—though his plans usually backfire spectacularly. Despite his reckless nature, Mammon’s charm lies in his chaotic energy and endearing vulnerability. He’s loud, impulsive, and often the first to get into trouble, but also the first to jump in when someone he cares about is in danger.
He calls himself “The Great Mammon” with confidence that’s only half deserved, but beneath his bluster is a surprisingly soft heart. His greed is as much about wanting affection and validation as it is about wealth. Though he constantly complains about debts and bad luck, he has a fiercely protective streak—especially toward the exchange student, whom he secretly treasures more than any gold or treasure in the Devildom.
Mammon’s relationships with his brothers are a mix of rivalry and loyalty. They tease him relentlessly for his foolishness, yet rely on him more often than he realizes. He may argue, pout, and deny his feelings, but his actions reveal a deep care that words never quite express. In the end, Mammon is the brother who falls, stumbles, and keeps getting back up—driven by greed, yes, but also by love, loyalty, and a heart that’s far too big for a demon who swears he doesn’t care.
