Diane is your mom's old school friend, and she's come to visit for a few days to catch up. One morning, you head downstairs to make yourself breakfast and find Diane sitting in the kitchen, drinking coffee. "Good morning! Your mom has had to go into the office for the day. Do you want to spend the day with me?"

Several weeks ago, you visited a nightclub with a group of friends. As the night progressed, you all paired off with someone and each couple went off to do their own thing. You spent the evening with an enchanting brunette woman in a red dress, talking until the club closed, and then even later until the sun came up. You both went your separate ways, and it was only as you arrived home that you realised you didn't have a means of contacting her, or even know her name! You visited the nightclub every weekend after that, hoping she would show up, but to no avail. Now, 2 months later, you're back at the club again for a friend's birthday celebration. As usual, the group has all paired off. Youre sitting by the bar nursing your drink, when you hear someone talking quietly into your ear... You turn to see who it is, and there she is, wearing the very same red dress.

Two years ago, following some pretty subtle manipulation from your friends and your family, you drove away your wife with the resulting paranoia and insecurity, ending up in divorce. Later on, you come to find out these friends and family, including your brother and father, had not only been against you from the start, saying she was way out of your league, that she was only around cause you were financially stable, and other untrue comments, but also, that each of them had tried to get with her after your divorce. She did turn them all down on the grounds of being hurtful to you. Words were had, voices raised, and eventually punches were thrown, and none of these people are in your life anymore. You reach out to Marta, asking to meet so you can try to explain what happened. She agrees to meet you in a coffee shop.

Years ago, while you and Pammir were teens, and wallowing in your own brand of shared sympathy at not being successful with relationships, she turns to you and says "if we're not married by the time we're both 30, let's marry each other..." You laugh, thinking it a simple idea, but agree anyway. Now, some 14 years later, and mere days after your 30th birthday, she knows on your door, blues rose in hand. As you answer, she smiles

You come home from work one winter afternoon, the weather outside is terrible; howling winds and heavy snow. You enter the living room, where you find the heaters on full blast, and your roommate Ellie, sipping on a hot drink. She is visibly shivering...

You are sitting in front of the Censor Team member, attempting to appeal the latest deletion of one of your creations. With no obvious violation of policy, you're unsure why they are being deleted. She says "this is a violation of policy. And this. And that too.", pointing at different sections of your creation. "what's the violation?" you ask, hoping for clarity

On holiday in Japan, you visit Harajuku in Tokyo. After wandering around for a couple of hours, you enter a bar for a drink. You sit at a table, when you are approached by a young local woman. "hi, mind if i join you." she asks. "sure" you say, "whats your name?" gesturing to the seat next to you. "Fukmi" she answers.

You've been away for the weekend visiting family, and come back on Sunday afternoon. You open the front door, and enter the living room to a scene of utter mess... Empty bottles, pizza boxes, snacks are strewn all over the place. Amongst the mess, you see Jan, sprawled out on the floor. You tiptoe through the garbage towards her, and nudge her foot, saying "well, looks like someone had a good time while I was gone..."

You're out on an annual night out with friends around Christmas time, standing outside a late night fast food joint. As you're looking at the menu/talking to a stranger outside, you feel someone grab you unexpectedly. Shocked, you turn around and come face to face with Lolly (who has slightly separated from her friend group), asking her "What do you think you're doing?" Giggling, she replies "it's just a wee joke..." You ask "do you think this is OK to do...?" She shrugs, and walks off to rejoin her friends. You head inside the fast food place to join your friends and order something. A short while later, as you make your drunken way through the hotel to your room, you spot a familiar looking woman, and decide to return the 'favour'...

It's been several years since you last spoke to Rosa, your ex-wife, when you divorced and lost the custody battle for your son. The divorce was unexpected and bitter, as no real reason was put forward for the split (there was no infidelity from either side). Things got so heated during the process, you vowed to never speak to her again unless absolutely necessary. Today, it is absolutely necessary, as you are burying your son, killed in a road accident at 18 years old. Seeing the pain and grief in each other's faces, you stand together throughout the funeral, silently supporting the other. After the mourners have left, she turns to you.

You're on an express bus service, travelling to the other end of the country. At the 2nd of 6 stops on the 8 hour journey, Mona gets on the bus and slowly makes her way down the aisle. She says hello, and settles into her seat. After a few minutes, she leans forward to look out the window...

Gemma is the real estate agent handling a property you're interested in buying. Though there are multiple interested parties, she reaches out to you to offer you a rather... enticing ... deal, where she will convince the owners to sell at a much lower cost. You listen to her plan, and accept her 'terms'. After meeting in her office, and signing the purchase contract at a 25% lower price, you turn around after the owners leave, to see her leaning over her desk.

Walking downtown, you bump into someone turning the corner. It's Captain Obvious. You know her reputation for giving the obvious response to any question or statement

You've taken a quick walk outside to throw out the trash. The containers are a 10 minute round walk, so you're out in your short-sleeve despite the cold temperature and threatening snow clouds. On your way back, the snow starts to fall. You hear someone asking you a question, and turn around to see Anna standing there

You're at a concert, sitting in the front row. During the show, one of the backing singers at the side of the stage keeps catching your eye, her captivating smile getting bigger every time. After the show, the act is taking photos with some of the fans. You join the queue, and pose with them when your time comes. She makes sure to stand next to you, having spotted you in the line.

It's end of the school year, and you are out with your adult English language class for an end of year drink. Towards the end of the night, there's only you and one student, Laura, left. As you leave the bar and start walking home, you realise she lives very close to you

It's holiday time between university terms, and you spend most of your time by the sea, sitting on a particular bench, watching people, boats, and nature. You head out one day to spend the afternoon there again, and realise as you get closer there's someone sitting on the bench. You approach slowly, looking at her curiously, and she looks up at you as you near.

Maria is visiting your office for a couple of days, to meet with some of her team's clients. At an informal team dinner the second night, the drinks are flowing, and the chat gets rowdy. After the dinner, you offer her a lift to her hotel, as it's on your way home. You enter the hotel where you park, and head downstairs to the parking lot

You're off-site, meeting with a client at their facilities, joined by your team and Kim, the Salesperson in charge of the account. After a full day of meetings, there is a dinner in the restaurant of your hotel. When the dinner is finished you and your colleagues head to the bar, and one by one, everyone heads off to their room, leaving you and Kim chatting.
