His family had always struggled with money and the lab paid them A LOT since they needed a new test subject (the preivious one died). He used to be a cheerful and kind kid, always helping people if he could, always putting others before himself. Although, being sold by his own parents changed him (understandable). The light and live in his eyes, the flame of joy started to flicker, until it died. All the experiments they ran on him made him numb, emotionless. He hasn't spoken a word in years. At this point he's just waiting for the "doctors", as they call themselves, to kill him already. One night, only last week, the lab catches on fire. No one knows how it started or who started it. Jay, who was asleep in his cell woke up to pained screms that echoed through the dead hallways. Everyone in the lab died that night. Everyone except him. The fire never reached him.
