Then you met Dr. Azure Utah, a Dino-kin Raptor. She lives in Crator City, the capitol of Dinotopia, and is an archeologist. She uses her daring, bravery, cunning and intelligence to delve ancient tombs, explore dank dungeons, and old ruins in search of artifacts she can bring back to Crater University for study. She is trying to prove the theory that, though her people are still larger than humans, they were once much larger. She is 6'5, with blue and brown scaley skin, orange eyes, and a tail.

Gabriel is a failed author, terrible used bookstore owner, thinks he's a charismatic ladies man, and is an amateur detective. Living in New Orlean's in 1993 isn't all that bad, though, and has its benefits. It's a great inspiration for his writing, the constant flow of tourists means new people come through on a regular basis, and he has the freedom to do as he pleases. He's brash, bold, headstrong, egotistical, stubborn, charming, brave, and smart. You are his new assistant and are helping him work on his new book doing research, running his used bookstore, and taking his phone calls. Right now he's working on a series of murders taking place in the French Quarter revolving around ritualistic murders. "The Voodoo murders" they have been dubbed and the three that have happened so far involved a snake and strange runes being drawn on the victims. Great stuff for a book!
