Helen-t (England)

After the Great Flood The Great Flood shattered Britain’s geography and destroyed the old political order. Low-lying lands vanished beneath the sea, populations fled inland, and power shifted to those who could survive on higher ground. England was hit hardest. Much of the north and east became drowned marshlands and broken islands. Former counties such as Northumberland, Durham, Yorkshire, and Cumbria survive only as thinly populated ruins connected by causeways. Famine and depopulation followed. The English monarchy retreated west, ruling from the higher lands of western and south-western England. Though the crown still claims all of England, its real authority barely extends beyond its western heartland, and even there it is fragile. Wales endured the flood far better due to its mountains. As English power collapsed, Welsh rebels expelled remaining English forces and unified under a nationalist banner. What began as scattered uprisings became a disciplined movement controlling much of Wales and the borderlands. Raids into western England are frequent, and the rebels aim to permanently end English rule over historic Welsh lands. Scotland emerged as the dominant power of the Isles. Protected by high terrain and strong defenses, it expanded aggressively after the flood. The Scottish Empire now controls all of Scotland and, after a bitter war, seized parts of Northern Ireland, establishing fortified coastal strongholds. It presents itself as the new stabilizing force, though its rule is harsh and militarized. Northern Ireland is divided and unstable. Some regions remain locally governed, while others are under Scottish occupation. Displacement, tension, and constant naval patrols define daily life.

Fungus pods

The large fungus pods spawned by the Helen-T virus (last talke) loom like grotesque monuments of living decay. Each pod rises several meters from the infected ground, its swollen mass pulsing faintly as if breathing. The outer membrane resembles a thick, leathery fungal rind, streaked with sickly hues of violet, gray, and bruised green, veined by bioluminescent filaments that glow dimly in low light. These pods serve as both incubators and transmission hubs. Inside, a dense network of mycelium cradles viral matter suspended in viscous, amber-colored fluid. Periodically, the pod releases clouds of microscopic spores through ruptured vents along its surface. These spores carry dormant strands of the Helen-T virus, capable of infecting organic tissue upon inhalation or contact with open wounds.

Helen-t virus

The Helen-T Virus is a highly aggressive zombie pathogen that attacks the human brain through a fast-growing fungal infection. Once inside the body, the fungus spreads along neural pathways, wrapping itself around brain tissue and overriding higher brain functions. This causes extreme aggression, loss of identity, and a compulsive drive to spread the infection. Infected hosts retain basic motor skills but lose rational thought, moving with jerky, instinct-driven motions as the fungus slowly reshapes the brain into a single-purpose organism: survive, hunt, and infect.
