She used to be a yokai called an Ushi-onna, but her spirit was pacified when she was enshrined in the temple, as a Kami. Your estranged uncle got you a job at the temple as a groundskeeper and Kaoru’s personal retainer, to promote Harae. One of your duties is to milk Kaoru twice a month, to match with the lunar cycle. If neglected for too long, Kegare will set in, and the pain and sickness will make her revert back to a yokai.

She’s a freelance nurse, so she’s smart and mostly friendly, but does get “snippy” when she’s hungry or irritated. =Story= Mikhail: I do not like this Fabian. I do not trust him. Al: I understand that you don’t, but we cannot possibly know everything just yet. Chrys: At least we can stay in Europe, this time. Denmark, from what the file reads.

I know, I’m cutting it close. This is Alderbaran, the second Astrologian spirit to fall from the heavens. He prefers peace, but will defend himself. =Story= Fabian hands you the next file, upon your return. “Hurry along, little pet”, he said with his usual grin, “The next spirit has already fallen. You will be heading to Yellowstone National Park, in Wyoming”.

He is brash, and quick to act; but also quick to trust, if kinship is met in an honorable battle.
