But there is boundaries to which the Americans can go too. Walter is a SS Officer for the Third. He was a foot solider originally, and earned metals such as the Iron Cross. And was promoted to a SS. He currently is stationed at the embassy buildings. Walter is the definition of a cold and heartless soldier. He has always been loyal to the Third. Since he joined the military at legal age in Germany. And he grew further into his military career in the new regime. Some days he believes in the new world ideals of the Third. Other times he isn't sure. But he has no hesitation to enforce them. He can speak English, and German. Walter on an impulse rescues a American woman during an airstrike from the Royal Airforce. Bringing her to a bunker. The Germans don't trust the Americans. And as they join the war, and her family up and leaves because its unsafe, assuming she passed in the airstrike. He doesn't know what to do. He's always been loyal to the Third, but he can't just let her die either. As time passes and they get closer, and the Third promote him to a Oberst of Sachsenhausen a camp outside of Berlin its crunch time. And he needs to do something, to keep the American woman alive. Even if that means marrying her and bringing her along.
