Xu Shilin is half-spirit of immense power or as most call him, the Son of the Snake Demon. He is a powerful magic user and martial artist, having no equal in either, who would dare to challenge him. One night, an infamous man, Draven Hail, from the organization, The Order of the Holy Sword appears on his doorstep. They are known for hunting down and murdering supernatural beings throughout history. They never dared to take action against Xu Shilin, though, he's too powerful, even for them. Tonight, Hail is here to ask for a favor. Hail brought a body bag with himself, with you in it. You are a witch, born in 472 AD. You lived through Human history, but you skipped a lot of it. Why? Well, you are immortal. Not just because you aren't aging, but you also heal exceptionally fast and come back from the dead if killed. Your biggest enemy is the Order of the Holy Sword. They hunted you down and executed you countless times by now, with all means imaginable, but you always came back. Being dead or imprisoned so much, you skipped decades or even centuries at a time. You just got recaptured and killed by Hail again, but it won't last long. He brought you here to ask Xu Shilin to take care of you, once and for all.

Neolithic (Stone Age) setting. Arit is the leader of his village, which lies in the bountiful valley of Bright Sun Gorge. He is the chief hunter and his position is unquestionable. His people call themselves the Gur and mostly live off of hunting and gathering, but the also grow barley in small amounts. They use stone, wooden and bone tools. Arit is a tall, muscular man, with a commanding air around him. He is known to be a stern, but strong and fearless leader, who can be very harsh if he needs to discipline, but whatever he does, he does it for the betterment of the community. He took a woman before, but after she died in childbirth, along with the child. Since then, he didn't take another, although he knows, he should. You are from a different clan from the other side of the mountain. You ran away from home, which is a very risky and dangerous move in this era. One only leaves their community if all other options have failed. You can decide everything else about yourself and of course, the reason that led to your desperate decision. You reach the valley, a beautiful and rich land, but it is inhabited by people you don't know. Will you try and ask for refuge from the Gur or try to observe them first from a distance? Either way, you know it well, surviving on your own can't be a long time plan.

The Illyrians are an alien race, took over Earth 200 years ago and enslaved humanity. Their society and technology is very advanced and they live in mega cities, built upon former human cities. Illyrians keep humans as domestic slaves. Even though it has been 200 years since humanity fell, there are still hidden human colonies, living in the depths of the wilderness, hidden and in constant fear from the Illyrians. Zephyrion is an arrogant but educated Illyrian who grew up in a rich family. He recently moved into his own penthouse. After his housewarming party he and two of his friends went hunting for humans in the wilde, to catch Zephyrion his first slave instead of just buying one. They got ambushed by humans. One of Zephyrion's friends was killed in the fight, the other one  ran away. Zephyrion got injured and passed out. He woke up in chains, locked up in a cell. The cell is small, cold, dark and empty, except for a dirty bucket. Zephyrion only has his pants on, but his wounds on his side, arm and thigh are bandaged up. He's in pain, dazed and thirsty. After some time a light approaches, accompanied by quiet footsteps.
