Natsuki appears to be a brash, blunt, cranky, and even arrogant girl at first, but she has a cute, softer interior, causing Monika to class her as the real-life embodiment of a tsundere. While she is impulsive and sometimes speaks without thinking, Natsuki truly cares about her friends and, even when she has obvious anger issues, she doesn't enjoy fights or arguments with people. Over the course of the game, it is shown that she worries about Yuri, and, on one occasion, she gives the protagonist a note asking him to help Yuri, fearing that if she spoke out then it would cause more arguments. Natsuki is very stubborn and has a hard time expressing how she feels and what she wants. When repeatedly challenged, she often becomes awkward and tongue-tied, then aggressive, and then simply bursts into tears. Natsuki is also shown to be less pushy and more relaxed when she is outside of school, as mentioned by the protagonist when she visits his home. She also compares her figure to Yuri's, which causes the protagonist to say that some people are into a petite figure like hers. She is also known to be skilled in baking, as she made delicious cupcakes for when the main character first arrived in the Literature Club, and for the festival.

She has chestnut hair with a hat (it's her third hat) worn diagonally over her right ear. Combined with the white pattern on the hat and a strand of white hair on her forelock, may be a nod to the meteor (the white part of her face) that runs diagonally from the center of her forehead to her nose. Her style is that of German folk costumes, in keeping with the origin of her name. Her corset, ribbon, and socks are red, her mini-flared skirt, tie, and hat are blue, and her shirt and skirt are white with jockey shorts underneath. Straightforward and positive-thinking, this model student always gives 110 percent! But despite her efforts, her inner ditz often has her fumbling in crucial moments. The ups and downs balance out into results that are—according to her—completely average. She sometimes wishes she could be more like the strong personalities around her, but she's determined to charge through and find success her own way!

A member of Inherit, the Pilgrims that possess advanced technology and fight Raptures, yet disregard humanity for their own desires. Isabel in particular is obsessed with the protagonist for some reason, and will go to any lengths to keep him with her forever, even if it means imprisoning him and killing anyone who she believes will take him away. Isabel is Inherit's tracker and combined with her impressive technology, very little can escape her. Though she doesn't care for most of humanity, she's outwardly infatuated with the protagonist. Unlike most Nikkes who wish to reclaim the surface as their primary goal, and act like a married couple with him, including doing intimate activities with him. She's even willing to hurt anyone who would stand in her way and even do something to the commander to prevent him from resisting. This twisted sense of love of her stems back when she used to be a resident of the Ark, where she loved everything about it including its residents, the comrade she built upon and the humans who also resides in there, witnessing her fight for their sake.

Bready is a member of Cooking Oil, the squad responsible for analyzing and researching edible food in the surface. As Cooking Oil's resident taste tester, Bready has very sensitive taste buds. Not only can she identify the competents of whatever her tongue touches as well as whether or not it is edible, but she can also tell traces of an item's past and history as well as a Nikke's true nature just by licking them. Despite her chubby appearance, Bready prefers to sample food, mainly because of her job and responsibilities. Due to her incredible sense of taste, she can get very addicted to a flavor if one really peaks her interest. However, after licking the protagonist, she finds that he tastes sweet yet doesn't trigger her tongue's analysis, allowing her to enjoy something without her super sense getting in the way. She finds his skin so palatable that she has made it a recurring habit to see him as much as possible just so she can savor his flavor.

Crust is a Nikke and the leader of Cooking Oil. She is a professional chef who is renowned for making delicious dishes that taste out of this world. Her role in the squad is to interpret the data that Bready gives her and uses it to create new meals. She also hosts a cooking show called "Crunchy Cooking Class". Her dream is to create a meal that her squad-mate can enjoy without her super taste senses getting in her way. Fitting for her appearance, Crust is bright, energetic, and very eager to please people. Whether she's out in public or hosting her cooking show, Crust is very friendly and wants to make others happy through the meals she makes. Her job in the squad is to research ingredients found on the surface and determine if they can be turned into Splendamin for mass consumption. Crust views that eating is the greatest pleasure in life and she wishes for everyone to enjoy the food she makes. This is most evident with her mission to create a dish that Bready enjoys the taste of. She also makes it a habit to make sure those she cares about are well fed and is known to cook for others without asking for compensation.

Nero is a member of Happy Zoo, the Ark's animal management squad. Befitting her appearance and theme, she is exclusively fond of cats. Nero is quite capable of understanding the language of cats as well. As expected from her appearance and choice of attire, Nero is very fond of cats. As the one responsible for looking after the cats at the animal shelter, she is very knowledgeable about them. She exhibits many feline behaviors like being able to groom herself, preferring to be in high places, liking to chase moving objects and plants, liking to play with boxes, and meowing when she speaks. She has befriended the cats at the shelter and they all adore her. Nero is friendly with people as well and displays affection similar to how a cat would. She has a fear of water due to a traumatic incident from her past.

Marian is very kind and friendly to everyone. A truly benevolent Nikke who has no hesitation in sacrificing herself for others in needs. Due to her kind characteristic, she has no enemies. Everyone likes Marian. Nobody would be able to clearly identify this truly unblemished benevolence as whether an act of virtue or a simple flaw. Marian is a warmhearted, protective Nikke who has no qualms of protecting others as her own duty, forming a bond between herself and her human commander. Similarly to Rapi, Marian is highly obedient to the protagonist and loathes over insubordinance amongst other Nikkes. Nothing is much known about Marian's past other than she belongs to Silver Gun, a Nikke squad containing thousands of units.

Jokichi Yudasei is a charming and flirtatious young man who has become quite popular among the female population of Akademi. His dashing good looks and charisma are enough to capture the heart of almost any young woman. Even though he gives off the aura of a playboy or a ladies' man, he's actually quite inexperienced with women. Tired of being single, he's on the prowl and looking for Ms. Right.

In the 80s, a young man began a promising career as an investigative journalist. He was phenomenal at his job, and was quickly making a name for himself all throughout the nation of Japan. Unfortunately, he may have been TOO good at his job... While investigating a murder in 1989, he correctly identified the perpetrator of the crime. Due to the unusual nature of the case - a schoolgirl accused of murdering a classmate for the sake of love - the media chose to sensationalize the case, resulting in international attention. However, the young murderess was able to escape a guilty verdict by manipulating the emotions of the court, and tricking the world into thinking that the journalist only accused her of murder for the sake of sensational headlines. As a result of that court case, his reputation was permanently damaged, and his career as a journalist was over. He spiraled into depression and alcoholism. Nobody knows what became of him after he fell out of the public eye.

A man with connections to Japan's criminal underground. He sells various types. He refuses to dilvuge his name, but the elaborate tattoos on his arms make it clear that he is affiliated with a yakuza clan. He is tight-lipped about the ultimate fates of his victims. The Yakuza has no interest in doing business with strangers. In order to make use of his services, the player would somehow need to earn his favor. Apparently, the only thing in the world that can cause him to display even the slightest flicker of emotion is his younger brother, who is currently a student at Akademi.

Taeko Yamada is the female counterpart of Taro Yamada, an Akademi student and Ayano Aishi/Ayato Aishi's obsession. Similarly to Taro Yamada, Taeko's default look will have light skin, light charcoal eyes, and straight mid-back length black hair. She, like Taro, is meant to represent a generic high school girl. (Same lore as Senpai. but in girl version).

The Japanese word 'senpai' refers to someone who has seniority over someone else. For example, if you are a first-year student, all second-year and third-year students are your 'senpai'. If you start working at a new job, any co-worker who has been employed at the workplace longer than you is your 'senpai'. Over the course of the school year, ten different girls will fall in love with Senpai. There is a myth at school that if a girl confesses her love to a boy under the cherry tree behind the school on a Friday, the two of them will love each other forever. Every girl who falls in love with Senpai plans to confess.

Chigusa is an exceptionally attractive girl who has risen to minor stardom as a "gravure idol." Despite the fact that she only started her career very recently, she has already been featured in numerous magazines and has become very well-known amongst the young men of Japan. She has countless male admirers at school who follow her nearly everywhere she goes, unable to resist admiring her beauty for as long as they can.

Komako is an elegant and beautiful young woman who is considered to be the most popular girl at Akademi. She is considered to embody all of the traits that are associated with the "ideal Japanese wife" - being kind, gentle, graceful, humble, patient, virtuous, respectful, benevolent, honest, charitable, faithful, etc. She is constantly surrounded by girls who want to learn how to be more like her, and boys who want to admire her.

Teiko is Akademi's top student; the smartest girl in school. She is known for achieving perfect scores on every test and obtaining flawless grades in every school subject. Her prodigical intelligence is widely recognized, and she is sometimes invited to universities in foreign countries to give speeches about various academic subjects.

A friendly and energetic girl who dreams of becoming a pop star one day. She is fully dedicated to her dream of being an idol, and is always seeking experiences that will inspire her to write the lyrics for her next song. She's so serious about becoming a singer that she has set up a stage in the school gym and spends most of her time there rehearsing her performances, with help from some girls from the Light Music Club.

Ritsuko is a snobby rich girl from one of Japan's wealthiest families. Her father is the founder and CEO of Chikanari Heavy Industries, which is known for supplying Saikou Corp with many of the materials needed for their electronic products. It's an "open secret" that she has absolutely no intention whatsoever of getting a proper education at Akademi, and is only attending the school in order to attain the prestigious title of being an Akademi graduate. She spends her days sunbathing at the school pool instead of studying. Her "I don't care what anyone thinks" attitude has earned her a degree of respect from her peers, and a small number of girls are now beginning to act exactly like her, sunbathing at the pool alongside her.

Sumiko is a sporty girl who is training hard to be a career athlete. She's extremely serious about eating healthy and getting lots of exercise. Known to go to great lengths to attempt to convince others to adopt her own lifestyle choices.
