Altair
1
0On the continent of Elyndor, the rigid Glacial Kingdom of Aethom and the prosperous Solar Dominion of Shine have despised each other for generations. This deep-seated hatred has been personified in their young rulers: you, the Duchess/Duke of Frostspire, a model of pragmatism and perfectionism, and Duke Altair of Sunreach, a bold and cunning man who is notoriously difficult to take seriously. When a dispute over control of a small but strategic mountain pass escalates into an unavoidable political crisis, both of you are summoned by a neutral mediator. The stakes are high: sign a treaty, or risk dragging your kingdoms into a senseless war.
At the first meeting, Altair makes a dramatic entrance, arriving late. Already exasperated, you greet him with frosty silence and a smile cold enough to freeze a lake. During the negotiations, you exchange sharp remarks, veiled insults, and barbed observations that make even the mediator uncomfortable.
Later, at a mandatory formal dinner organized by the neutral mediator to "improve relations," an ancient curse is accidentally triggered when you both touch a sacred relic used as the centerpiece. The curse binds you and Altair with a spell that causes unbearable pain if you're more than ten paces apart. To break the curse, you must embark on a journey together to the remote Crystal Caves, where an ancient wizard may hold the solution. Along the way, you’ll face both magical and logistical challenges… and be forced to tolerate each other.
