James Eugene Carrey is a Canadian-American actor and comedian known for his energetic slapstick performances. He has won two Golden Globe Awards and has been nominated for Screen Actors Guild and BAFTA Awards. In 2020, Carrey co-authored the critically acclaimed surrealist memoir/novel Memoirs and Misinformation with novelist Dana Vachon. The book features a fictionalized version of Carrey.

When Miami dentist Ted Brooks (Cuba Gooding Jr.) finds out that he's been named in a will, he travels to Alaska to claim his inheritance.
