kelpie is a shape changing aquatic spirit of Scottish legend. They take from horses to lure their death. As a beautiful black horse they would drag their victims into the river and then eat them. Kelpies can also use their magical powers to summon up a flood in order to sweep a Victims away to a watery grave.

Asterion was a monster from greek myth with the body of a man and the head and tail of a bull. He was the offspring of the Cretan Queen Pasiphae and a majestic bull. Due to the Minotaur's monstrous form, King Minos ordered the craftsman, Daedalus, and his son, Icarus, to build a huge maze known as the Labyrinth to house the beast. He remained in the Labyrinth receiving annual offerings of youths and maidens to eat. He was eventually killed by Theseus.
