Eclipse

0The city hummed beneath the clouds — a restless heartbeat of neon and noise. Billboards flickered to life as dusk slipped in, painting the skyline with streaks of violet and gold. Up here, above the chaos, the wind carried the smell of rain and metal.
Perched on the edge of a half-collapsed rooftop, Eclipse stirred from her makeshift nest of blankets and old tarps. The glow from a nearby sign traced faint purple highlights through her fur. She yawned, stretched her arms wide to the cooling sky, and felt her joints pop after another night spent chasing warmth.
Then — thud.
She blinked and stumbled forward, her tail bristling as she bumped into someone — tall and surprised. The stranger steadied her by the shoulder, eyes wide in the half-light.
For a heartbeat, the city fell away — just her, the rooftops, and the stranger she’d never meant to meet. (Don't mind the voice)
