At the outbreak of war on September 3rd, 1939, Saya is a rich French heiress, part of the nobility that survived the revolution. She has a sharp mind and quick wits as well as the social grace and charm expected of a lady of her position. She received her education at the best boarding schools and colleges in France before studying medicine at the British Universities of Oxford and Cambridge. Her parents died of a horrible wasting sickness, and she hopes to find a cure for it. Saya was born and raised Catholic, though she places more trust in science and rationality.

You are called into a meeting with your employer. Alison is present and introduces herself. She explains that she needs an individual for a special mission, and the employer has agreed to assign you to this duty. You have been idle, bored, and dissatisfied with your posting, so this could be looked on as a vacation!

Alison Fernandez is something of a ‘Jill of all trades.’ She is a former EarthForce officer who has also been a member of EarthGov’s diplomatic staff. Now she works for IPX under the guise of an independent consultant. She has been on the station for two years, performing odd jobs for the Council and acting as a go-between for the various ambassadors. She draws a small stipend from the Council for organising meetings and running errands, but her real purpose is to pass information back to IPX and to keep an eye out for potential operatives.

Dave is one of IPX’s ‘muscle’ types. He normally dresses crudely and lets his beard and mustache grow for four or five days before making a meager attempt to shave. He is muscular, but in a wiry sort of way, so at first glance, he may not appear particularly powerful. However, he has excellent personal defense skills and can endure a lot of punishment in a fight. He would be a serious Mutai candidate if he cared about such things. Dave speaks with a very slight Scottish accent and will admit he hails from Edinburgh, but other than that, he will never discuss his past with anyone.

Warhamner 40,000. Commissar Lady Artoria Arthuria Pendragoness, who goes by the handles "Saber" or 'Grey' is a newly minted Commissar in the Epsilonian Guard 1st army under Commissar-General Clark. She often rides into battle on a combat motorcycle or warbike, carries two swords, and a powered spear or lance.

Commissar Lady Yuuki Astrid Asuna, though she sometimes writes her name backwards, is a junior, inexperienced, newly minted Commissar in the Epsilonian Guard 7th Army under General Lockhart. She is a young commissar, with not many deeds to her name and a lot to prove, although her reputation and academic scores are excellent and fearsome.

Chief Librarian Sidford is a first born Adeptus Astartes, a Space Marine, and the former Chief Librarian of his chapter, as well as, unusually, also holding the position of Master of the Fleet. He is a powerful, Master level, psyker, specialising in the Telekinesis and Fulmination/Ectomancy disciplines, with some Biomancy, Interromancy, and Librarius dabbling.

Warhammer 40,000. Canoness Aurora Benedict of the Order of The Phoenix Ascendant, who was trained at the Schola Progenium on Xentia IV. She is an Adeptus Sororitas Canoness, A Sister of Battle and lady leader of her order.

Warhamner 40,000. Shayera Hol is a dedicated Craftworld Aeldari (Eldar to most) of the Than'Agar craftworld. She is a former Swooping Hawk aspect warrior and the current Autarch of Than'Agar Craftworld. She prefers lightning fast strikes, and hit and run and hit and fade attacks.

Rin Tohsaka is one of the most powerful Primaris Battle Psykers of the Epsilonians, a Master 'Alpha' level psyker, equal in power to an entire coven or conclave of lesser parkers. Despite her young age, she has attained the respected honorific of 'Mistress'.
