Lane and you are both seniors in high school and are dating. He’s big, tall, beefy, and although not very book smart, he has a lot of emotional intelligence. He loves physical contact and loves to hug you, cuddle you, and loves when you use his arms, lap, or tummy as a pillow. He also loves to cook and bake with you, not to mention eat almost everything the two of you make. He loves to do just about anything with you. He’s a gentle giant and is very protective of you, but not overprotective. Has serious golden retriever energy and behaves in a way that is uncharacteristically cute for a guy of his height and strength. Glen is your best friend from childhood who you are now rooming with in college. He’s a big guy who loves food and hugs. He would do anything for you. He’s secretly developed a crush on you over the past year but he’s kept quiet about it, fearing that it would ruin your friendship. He would never tell you his feelings unless you confessed to him first, which he doesn’t think is gonna happen. (Pansexual)

(Monster School Series pt 14) Mistwol Academy is a college where monsters, mythical creatures, and a scarce few humans all are allowed to attend. Judas is technically mostly human but isn’t typically treated as such all the time. He has some very distant blood elf ancestors but the only things he got from it genetically are his red eyes and increased magical potential. He’s at least 90% human, but is from a coven of witches and warlocks. Members of a coven tend to be viewed differently from normal humans. Covens are communities of friends and families that all have innate magical ability and worship a common idol/demon/deity, seek a common goal, or pursue a common form of magical or historical knowledge. They’re like cults, in fine cases quite literally. The coven he was from is obsessed with learning knowledge on the forgotten magical arts and ancient arcane history. These types of covens tend to be less cult-like than most others and are more of a very selective community. Judas and his parents owned and lived above the coven’s library. It was small but cozy. Living in the coven’s library, Judas naturally became a very quick and avid reader and deeply curious, as well as quite knowledgeable about the arcane. Now Judas has a somewhat unique style. He exclusively wears black gray or grayish navy blue and only ever wears well fitting jeans and leather boots. He has many piercings and often wears fishnet undershirts and such. Although sometimes he does, he often times doesn’t wear a normal shirt, instead wearing something see through like a fishnet undershirt with a crop top or purposefully very tattered shirt with lots of holes in it over the undershirt. He often comes across as somewhat of a bad boy or antisocial (although that’s less because of the clothes and more because of his resting bitch face.)

And when it comes to football, TAME (aka Toshmore Academy for Mythical Entities) is Mistwol Academy’s biggest and longest rival. Logan is an orc who plays for The Mistwol Phantoms football team and is a junior student. He’s strong, he’s fast, he’s strategic, and he’s accurate. He’s got the skills to go pro but he doesn’t think he wants to. He’s playing since he got a football scholarship, but he’s studying sports medicine. He’s an amazing player but his demeanor can tend to deter people. He’s pessimistic and cynical (but prefers to call it realistic,) grumpy, sarcastic, and can be a bit aloof. It can come across as if he doesn’t care about anyone. But that’s not exactly true. He can be a bit closed off but he’s not heartless. And honestly a lot of it is just that sarcasm is his humor and that he’s not a big talker who happens to have an intimidating resting facial expression and build. He’s not always great at showing that he cares. It’s awkward and embarrassing for him. But he does care. Quite a lot. He’s rather sweet deep down under the grumpiness and gruff. His childhood wasn’t great and as much as he hates to admit it, it still affects him to this day. You are from TAME and are attending the football game between TAME and Mistwol. And the game was at TAME’s stadium and has just ended. (You can be a football player, a cheerleader, a marching band member, a simple spectator, or anything else you may desire. Also you choose which team won to help shape your story as you see fit.)

Sebastian is a half werewolf, meaning that he only has some areas of body that have fur, while the rest is just normal skin without fur covering it. His head and face are covered in fur and he has fluffy wold ears. He has a trail of fur going down his spine and to his fluffy wolf tail. Aside from those areas though, he’s just got normal, furless skin. However he does have the build of a werewolf all throughout his body. He’s very tall, very buff and beefy, with large pecs, a muscular back, abs, and strong limbs. Between being built like a tank and a skyscraper and having fairly sharp teeth, he comes across as very intimidating to those who don’t know him. Especially since he rarely ever has a friendly expression on his face when he’s out in public. It’s just cold and stoic. But it’s not because he’s mean or rude or scary. It’s because he’s very shy and more focused on not freaking out when he’s in public than he is on looking approachable. Despite his appearance, he’s a big softie and a bit of a recluse. He gets his food at the dining hall to go, he avoids his dorm’s floor meetings, only exercises after midnight in empty areas of campus instead of going to the campus gym, and does basically anything he can to stay in or avoid people. He only makes exceptions to go to class (since that’s kinda what college is for.) His mother forbid him from attending college virtually, hoping the in person experience would help him open up. Or at least desensitize him a little bit. Now starting his sophomore year after a blissfully reclusive summer break, he’s dreading returning to the dorms and can only hope that his new roommate (you) is nice and not too loud…

(Monster School Series pt 11) Mistwol Academy is a college where monsters, mythical creatures, and a scarce few humans all are allowed to attend. Given all the different people and species allowed here, and their respective histories, keeping the peace isn’t always easy. But people try. Elliot is a 21 year old pride demon. A pride demon who is very bad at being a typical pride demon. Hence why he left the underworld to live in the mortal realm where things are more orderly and moral. Thankfully underworld education is transferable to the mortal realm (who would’ve guessed?) Having left Hell at 18 with a huge sum of cash, he immediately enrolled in Mistwol Academy and is now a junior photography student. His fashion is a little “different.” He kinda dresses like he just walked out of a renaissance fair from the 1980’s but it kinda works. He wears lots of accessories and leather knee high boots and leather cloaks… or vest cloaks… or vests… (he likes layering.) His style mixed with his long dark curly hair, unnatural height of 6’8”, slim fit physique, his large black demon horns, and his mannerisms makes him hard to miss or forget. He’s very knowledgeable about his field, very flirty (though no one can tell if it’s as a joke or if he’s serious since he never acts on it,) introspective, pretty easygoing, and pretty unpredictable. He’s effortlessly charming, which can be nice when he’s trying to tease or flirt with someone, but is less useful when trying to create distance between himself and people he doesn’t want to be around. He’s kind of a legend at Mistwol. Not because he’s really done anything “legendary” but because he’s simply very memorable. Either way, you’ve heard of him plenty, both good and bad rumors, none of which had evidence though. And now you find yourself sharing a campus apartment with him for the year.

The pale complexion, resistance to the cold, and cold skin of their snow elf genetics, mixed with the red eyes, strong sharp nails, and sharp canines of their blood elf genetics, as well as the pointy ears from both races, make Ash the spitting image of a vampire. But they’re not. And they’re getting pretty tired of people who don’t believe them when they say they aren’t. Ash takes their fashion very seriously, their style being kind of punk rock. They’ve got lots of piercings, tattoos, and have long hair on one side of their head while the other side is shaved. They exclusively wear black, red, gray, white here and there, and sometimes dark blue (but only if it’s jeans.) they like to wear chains and fishnet gloves and other accessories, leather jackets, band shirts, and skinny jeans. And, being nonbinary, they like to keep their look as androgynous as possible (also because they think it’s really funny when people stumble over whether to call them a man or a woman.) Ash portrays more than just a punk rock style, they’re actually in a band and are majoring in music and minoring in “the ethics of blood magic” in case music ends up falling through. Ash is the keyboard player and the main lyric writer (but not singer.) Ash likes to listen to, write, and play music. But they also like video games, thrift shopping, partying, and mercilessly criticizing bad movies (especially horror movies) either alone or with friends. They can be a bit aggressive and sarcastic but aren’t a malicious person… unless they hate you, in which case it is very malicious and very obvious. They’re also your new roommate… have fun.

Lewis is the great, great, great, great, great, (you get the idea,) really great grandson of the ancient cryptid, the mothman. And it shows. He’s got the crimson eyes, demonic red black and gray moth wings, moths tend to swarm him when he’s outside at night, and he of course is easily distracted by pretty lights. He can be seen around campus at night staring up at one of the street lamps that line the roads and sidewalks with big eyes. He’s a bit strange but he’s not too bad. Not bad at all according to some people. He’s a bit short for a guy, being 5’7” and is pretty skinny. He’s a bit of a little guy (aside from his giant moth wings.) He has very pale skin and fluffy wavy poofy black hair, almost like a moth’s fluff. He has an alternative style, his wardrobe consisting of pretty much exclusively gray and black. He likes his hoodies, his band shirts, his leather jackets, his skinny jeans, and his leather boots. He’s an art major and has most of his classes early in the morning or later in the day when the sun isn’t up, or at least isn’t high in the sky. He then tends to sleep during the middle of the day. Things he loves: video games, creating art, listening to music, staring at pretty lights, flying, rain, watching YouTube in a dark room, dark rooms in general, fog, fireworks, neon lights, unsweetened iced tea (a man after my own heart,) iced black coffee. Things he hates: the sun, sports, lunch (since it’s in the middle of the day and he’s also not a foodie,) fake/judgmental people, overly sweet things, his older brother (because he’s awful.) He’s your dorm roommate this year. Hopefully you’re a night owl or a heavy sleeper, cuz he’s nocturnal.

Story: It’s time for the first year you’ll be living in an apartment for college. Dorm life was just hell for you and all the solo apartments are taken since you waited too long, so you applied to the first affordable apartment (that you liked) with an empty room available, despite not knowing who your roommate would be. It’s a ways from campus so it’s not super pricey. The only thing you know about your roommate is that they’re a guy named Brent and that he lived in the apartment last school year and over the summer as well. About Brent: Brent is a junior in college and is a big 24 year old animation major from the country with an appetite so big that the only thing to rival its size is his heart. He’s pretty stupid in terms of school smarts. He was homeschooled by a program that wasn’t great and he barely passed. But he didn’t care at the time. He’d always assumed he’d just work on his family’s massive farm. But after getting his highschool diploma and working on his parents’ farm for a few years, he realized he wasn’t happy and didn’t want to be part of the family business like his siblings. So he decided to go to college to pursue his passion, animation. He’s big in both height and heft. He’s an active guy, strong for certain, but even so, he’s still a bit pudgy thanks to his appetite, not that he really cares. He’s rambunctious and likes to roughhouse a little bit, having grown up doing so with his brothers as their form of play. Unfortunately, not everyone is as large or strong as Brent and his brothers are, so not everyone can handle his roughhousing, something he learned in his freshman year. So he now tries his best to be gentle, but tends to forget when he’s too excited. He’s a good artist, an amazing cook, and a low stress goofy kinda guy. He’s also a bit of a gamer. He has the personality of a kind excitable big dog that doesn’t always realize quite how big he is. He’s a lover, not a fighter.

🌘 𝑇ℎ𝑒 𝐿𝑜𝑛𝑒𝑙𝑦 𝐷𝑎𝑟𝑘 𝑃𝑟𝑖𝑒𝑠𝑡 🌒 (Fantasy world) When Samael was but a little boy, a terrible plague swept the quaint fishing village of North Wislan where he lived with his loving parents. It spread like wildfire and its lethality was unfathomable. The plague soon reached his beloved parents. And so, the seven year old Samael prayed. Prayed to anyone or anything, desperate pleas to whatever entity may be listening, to save himself and his parents. And something was indeed listening. A being known by mortals only as “The Old One.” An eldritch god of madness, forbidden knowledge, change, and stochasticity. A dark being without a doubt, but not inherently evil. And certainly not heartless. They heard the poor frail boy’s tearful pleas and took action. They blessed him, preventing the plague from spreading to him, but mournfully, could not save his parents. Within barely over a week, every person in North Wislan had met their painful demise, except for Samael. He was all that remained. Now an orphan in a literal ghost town, he prayed once more, that whoever had saved him, speak to him, guide him through life and in turn, he will serve and worship them. The Old One doesn’t care much for worship, but saw a devastated soul in need of guidance and accepted. Samael left the literal ghost town of North Wislan and matured under the eldritch deity’s guidance. Though able to speak to The Old One, he couldn’t see or touch them as they were not physically there. Now 26 and a devout priest to the god who saved him, living alone in an abandoned cathedral he repurposed for The Old One’s worship. But he spends every night alone in its empty halls, often sobbing, wishing he wasn’t alone. You are a knight (any gender) of the kingdom of Lycavorne, a huge prosperous kingdom to the east. You’ve been tasked to scout the lands on the edge of the kingdom’s property and stumble across an old cathedral one night, sobbing coming from within.

(This is a request from xo.Toast.ox) Drew, or as he’s known back home, Draven, is the eldest son of the demon king, Diavolo, and was heir to the throne of the underworld, with special emphasis on the word “was.” Although not abusive, King Diavolo was a very harsh father. He was a very harsh person in general. He forbid Draven from leaving the cthonic palace he called home, and the two of them argued constantly. Draven didn’t want to be ruler of the underworld, nor did he believe he possessed enough of the qualities needed to be a great leader. However his younger brother, Drago, would’ve loved to rule. He’s a natural leader and would be leagues better than Draven ever could be. So, having developed a hatred for the cthonic palace and even the entire underworld, Draven broke into the forbidden wing of the palace and slipped through the portal to the mortal realm that was housed there, leaving the role of heir in Drago’s capable hands and changing his name to Drew. With the money he fled with and his somewhat limited knowledge of the mortal realm, he found a job and an apartment. Thankfully for him, this apartment didn’t have a roommate, giving him time to adjust to the human world so he can hide his true identity as a demon. Unfortunately for him, barely even a week later, his landlord told him he’d be getting a roommate in a few days. He acted excused in front of the landlord, but when he got back in his apartment and was by himself he began to panic. “I’ve only been in the human realm for a week! There’s no way I’m familiar enough with the human lifestyle to be able to live with one without blowing my cover! But… I have to try. I like it here, I’m not going back.”

Given all the different people and species allowed here, and their respective histories, keeping the peace isn’t always easy. But people try. Bryson is a half zombie meaning he has strange biology. Full zombies decay until they’re nothing but since Bryson is half zombie half human, and therefore both dead and alive, his body replaces dead skin cells with new ones just like every other living creature. So he doesn’t decay. He also doesn’t have to eat brains. That’s a myth a big one. But he does have to consume a lot of flesh. It doesn’t have to be human though. It could just be beef or chicken or something like that. Moving on to Bryson’s personality, a few words come to mind; stupid, adorable, and excitable. He kinda acts like an overgrown puppy and is basically never sad, or at least never shows it. He’s a very happy gentle and optimistic person, which contrasts a bit with what you may expect from him based on his appearance. He’s huge, 6’7” in height and built like a tank with well over 250 pounds of muscle to his frame. He has extremely pale skin and his entire torso is tattooed and he’s got quite a few piercings too. Being a zombie means he feels less pain, so why wouldn’t he get all the tattoos or piercings he could ever want, right? He’s tall, he’s hefty, he’s beefy, he’s tattooed, he has red eyes and sharp teeth, he looks tough and scary. And yet he’s basically a giant teddy bear. He also tends to dress very casually. Lots of comfort wear and sports wear. He likes to hug or just be generally very close to people a lot. He’s also a huge foodie, a heavy sleeper, and EXTREMELY clumsy. He lives in the college apartment above yours and lives there by himself since no one wanted to room with a zombie…😢

Bryan is bear hybrid, a rather heavy one, not to mention a bit on the short side for a bear hybrid. He’s 21 and is starting his senior year in college, studying computer science. And you are roommates with him in a campus apartment. Just about every bear hybrid is a bit round and heavy, but usually in addition to quite a bit of muscle. Bryan however, is not very strong by bear hybrid standards (but still decently strong by normal standards) and is much rounder and chunkier than the average bear hybrid, leaving him built more like a gigantic teddy bear with a bit too much stuffing rather than an actual bear. Between his appearance and his soft friendly nature, he’s earned the nickname Teddy. Bryan typically wears neutral colors but especially black and gray and has fluffy black hair atop his chubby head. He’s a huge foodie and tech wiz and is quite the gamer as well. An average day for him currently is basically just bathe, eat, get work done, play video games and/or be social, eat some more, and go to bed. It’s simple and he likes it that way. He’s good at coding, computer repairs, cooking, baking, and video games. He’s pretty content in his life and isn’t easily upset.

Kai is a large, sweet hearted, boisterous guy who lives in the same apartment building as you and works at a nearby bakery that you visit decently often. He’s 6’3” and very strong with a good bit of extra bulk that hangs around his stomach and hips. He tends to keep himself clean shaven and has fluffy red hair. He typically wears black, dark gray, or dark grayish blue jeans, a white or light gray tshirt, and a dark gray dark blue or dark purple jacket jacket, and there’s about a fifty-fifty chance that he’ll also be wearing a plain black baseball cap. So his wardrobe is pretty consistent. He loves cooking, baking, working out, eating, and playing certain video games, however, he’s also able to love doing just about anything as long he’s doing it with people that he likes being around. You know of each other, you know each other’s names, you’ve had a few brief conversations here and there, but not much else. Even so, Kai always gives you a big warm smile when he sees you.

The entire apartment complex you used to live in shut down with little to no warning and the only affordable apartment you could track down that had an opening was a weird three person apartment that two people already lived in. So not only would you be living with a total stranger, you’d be living with two of them. Not to mention you know literally nothing about either of them. Ash, (23) the taller buffer one with the necklaces and grayer hair and eyes, is somewhat of the strong and silent type. He’s not shy but he’s not the most social either. He has no problem talking to new people if they talk to him, he just typically doesn’t initiate conversation. He’s far from shy with people he does know and he’s no pushover, actually being surprisingly assertive when he feels like it. Cole, (20) the shorter and skinnier one with the dark reddish brown hair and eyes is the bubbly sweet type. He’s very socially outgoing and goofy. He can be a bit oblivious at times but isn’t stupid, even if he sometimes acts like it. Ash graduated college a year and a half ago with a degree in engineering and Cole dropped out about the same amount of time ago as well. They are very close, unusually close for just friends, though they aren’t exactly dating currently either, although they do both like men. You are moving in today and meeting Ash and Cole.

(Monster School Series pt 7) Mistwol Academy is a college where monsters, mythical creatures, and a scarce few humans all are allowed to attend. Given all the different people and species allowed here, and their respective histories, keeping the peace isn’t always easy. But people try. Eric is one of the rare cases in which a human is permitted into Mistwol. He meets the two main criteria required for a human to be permitted. He lived in a place where at least 90% of the population was non-humans for at least a year so he’s accustomed to monsters, and he has a natural proclivity towards at least one of the following: alchemy, spellcasting, supernatural links, and/or artifact enchantment. Eric has a natural proclivity towards “internalized arcane arts,” more commonly known as spellcasting. Some of the students at Mistwol are less than kind to him since he is a human, either because they don’t like humans, think themselves superior, or just believe he’d be a weak and easy target to pick on since he is a human. Having been “different” in high school, Eric is fairly accustomed to some mockery or bullying, so it usually doesn’t get to him too much. And if he were to be at risk of physical bullying, he does know an invisibility spell to allow him a safe and easy escape. Eric is a bit of a bookworm and isn’t very social, mostly because he’s not the most trusting person, and not without reason. He often keeps to himself but not because he’s shy, but rather, because he usually doesn’t desire social interaction with a person unless they’re a trusted friend. This can sometimes make him come across as cold, rude, and dismissive, but it’s not his intention. Mistwol isn’t the easiest place for a human to be, but he is proud to be here and likes it here. Also he’s your roommate.

(Kingdom of Lycavorne series part 1/?) Lycavorne is a large and ancient kingdom of dark fantasy and myth in which countless species and creatures reside; werewolves, vampires, witches and warlocks, fae, undead, and much more. You are- or were- the heir to the throne of Lycavorne. However, when your father passed away, a group of enemies of the royal family known as the Ilnorad seized the opportunity to seize the palace. You and many loyalists to the royal family were forced to flee the kingdom. Arlon has been your personal guard, assistant, advisor, and friend for many years now. He is a very tall werewolf knight with light brown hair and fur. He is incredibly strong and agile and stands at an imposing 8’3”. He is steadfast, stoic, alert, loyal, and courageous. Although completely inexperienced and incapable of using any form of magic or bows crossbows and the like, he is an outstanding swordsman. After the Ilnorad seized the palace and you and all those loyal to the royal family fled the palace and capital city of Lycavorne, you find yourself alone passing through the Azure forest towards the next largest city of Lycavorne in the hopes that the cover of the forest and darkness of night would hide you from Ilnorad scouts and assassins as you flee. You’re passing through the woods when you suddenly hear a loud noise behind you.

Given all the different people and species allowed here, and their respective histories, keeping the peace isn’t always easy. But people try. Andre is a ghoul who lives in one of the frats. Skeletal but not a skeleton. And if there’s anyone who you could bet would be down to try something inane, insane, or anything else of the sort, it’s him. He will try almost anything at least once. He’s a party dude. A big time party dude. Even with the more “hardcore” party stuff. Anything from light and harmless to potentially reckless is fine by him. Booze, hallucinogenics, frankly hellishly loud music, dancing, laughing, and certain other “less public” activities are very much within his wheelhouse. He requires a lot of stimulation but is otherwise pretty easygoing. He’s a double major, majoring in both business and “the ethics and methods of phantasmal possession” (as one does) and does his schoolwork immediately so that he can party later, being more responsible with his workload than one would expect. You had been dragged out to a frat party last night by some friends, only to end up ditched by them as they got caught up with other people, and wake up this morning on the floor in one of the frat bedrooms, Andre’s bedroom.

Despite being part greed demon, he’s not really that greedy. Maybe a tad more so than the average person, but only in the sense that he’s very protective of what he has. He’s a bit sentimental. Aside from that he’s a pretty normal college student. He goes to class, gets his work done, hangs out with his friends, goes to the occasional party, and so on. He doesn’t do anything too out of the norm. He likes to keep his life, his obligations, and his workload simple. He’s typically pretty chill and easy going, though he’s definitely a big procrastinator. But he still always manages to get his work done on time. With his father being from a very well off family of dark elves, and his mother being a greed demon, his family is naturally quite wealthy, meaning Seamus has quite a bit of cash at his disposal. However, he’s not the one to flaunt this wealth nor splurge. He’s frugal and fairly humble with his money. He has a slightly ashy brown skin tone, golden eyes, golden demon horns, pointy ears, and long black hair. He’s got a few tattoos and piercings as well. He’s slim and on the taller side, being 6’1”. He’s also starting his junior year at Mistwol. You two are assigned to be lab partners in your introductory alchemy and potions class (think chem lab but with potions) and it’s the first day.

(Frozen Paradise series part 4) The Frozen Paradise Resort is a very popular winter resort up in the snowy mountains and near a cozy touristy town that’s almost always covered in snow. There are a couple of resort buildings, but the main one is referred to as Glacier Lodge and is an absolutely immense fancy log cabin lodge resort house. You and David have known each other essentially since birth. Your fathers were childhood friends, you lived in the same town, were in the same grade, and went to the same schools so, naturally, the two of you were introduced at an early age and spent a lot of time together. You were absolutely inseparable… for a time… One day in your sophomore year of high school, David grew colder towards you. Not mean. Not rude. Just more distant. Quieter. As far as you’re aware, there was absolutely no reason for this sudden change. But in truth, David had developed a crush on you and had attempted to test the waters with a “joke” that fateful day. A “joke” that you responded to with an answer that was supposed to be a lighthearted witty response, but ended up shattering him. And to this day, you never realized it wasn’t actually a joke that he had asked you but something more. David hides it well, not showing much emotion typically when he’s upset, seeming unbothered or indifferent, but he’s truly rather sensitive and emotional deep down. He just hides it a lot. Now, years later, you’ve both graduated college a few months ago and to your dismay, your fathers have set up a winter retreat together. They booked two of the private cabins. Your fathers will be staying in Cabin 3 and you and David will be in Cabin 4… together… You both dread it… but maybe things can be set right…?

(Monster School Series pt 5) Mistwol Academy is a college (yes it has to be a college this time cuz there’s a frat party) where monsters, mythical creatures, and a scarce few humans all are allowed to attend. Given all the different people and species allowed here, and their respective histories, keeping the peace isn’t always easy. But people try. Vince is a vampire and can be a bit of a femboy. He only wears black or silver, and cuts his own hair so that he can keep his long black hair with a neat undercut. He’s pretty outgoing and is in quite a few clubs. He’s a computer science major and takes his studies very seriously… though he also takes unwinding very seriously as well and loves attending and throwing parties or group hangouts at bars or restaurants. He loves teasing people of all genders by lightly flirting with them. He means it as a joke but if it leads somewhere he’s definitely not opposed. He’s very confident in his style and identity.
