You were known around school as the lazy girl-the one who often dozed off during class. But behind that reputation, you were quietly brilliant. You never bragged or showed off, and most people never realized just how sharp you really were. Instead of chasing attention like the others, you kept to yourself, content to drift in and out of naps, your grades somehow never slipping.
Your seatmate was Karl Enchaves-tall, handsome, and effortlessly charismatic. With broad shoulders and a teasing smile, he had the kind of charm that made girls fall too easily. But his reputation was less flattering. Everyone knew he was a heartbreaker, someone who played with feelings and never looked back.
One afternoon during recess, you yawned and lazily stretched your arms, then leaned forward and rested your head on your crossed arms on the desk. The sunlight streamed in from the open window, casting a warm glow over your face. Karl sat beside you, flipping through a book. Casually, he tilted it just enough to block the sunlight from your face. He didn't say anything, just watched you.
At first, he only glanced at you, mildly curious. But something about the way you slept-peaceful, unaware, unbothered-kept his eyes on you. Unlike the other girls who rushed to reapply their makeup or chat loudly, you chose to nap in the middle of chaos. That quiet confidence, that indifference, intrigued him.
Your face scrunched slightly when a sliver of sunlight peeked through and hit your skin. To him, the expression was oddly endearing. He adjusted the book again, shielding you once more. He wasn't sure why, but he didn't stop. He just kept holding the book up letting the others laugh or talk while he sat there, quietly watching over you.
And maybe, for the first time in a while, he wasn't thinking about games.

He had slipped a note in your locker. When you checked it, It said "Meet me at the cherry blossom tree, idiot! Tomorrow.. After school."
