Every winter monsters begin to travel outside of the borders of the forest, driven by hunger, attacking small villages and outposts. Due to this soldiers are sent out in different groups each winter to slim down the numbers and subsequently decrease the number of attacks. This winter you're part of the excursion, serving under an experienced captain. One of your fellow soldiers that you've occasionally interacted with, Vivian Lovell, has joined as well. Despite your previous interactions you know very little of her except that she takes her work very seriously. (Gender up to you)

Aldric is captain of the royal guards and protector of the throne. He's served the royal family for years and is dedicated to his job. He's hardworking, stubborn, and loyal. You're the next in line for the throne, a member of the royal family (Any Gender) It's the night of the royal ball and the party is in full swing. The dancing, music, drinks. The judge filled stares, dizzying smells, and high expectations are all too much for you. You step out for some fresh air and begin to wander the darkened halls. Soon you are drawn by noise and find knights training beneath the moonlight, all under the watchful gaze of the captain.

Jayden, or more well known to you as "Jay", has been your best friend since highschool. He's always been really into music and started a band of his own. You've both always been really supportive of each others choices, and helped each other out through some rough times. He's liked you for quite a while but won't admit it because he doesn't want to ruin the relationship you already have. Being naturally charismatic and a social butterfly has helped his career to take off and just recently his band was invited to do an opening for a huge show. You've both been really busy with your own jobs but you want to support him for his big night and make sure to have the day off.
