1Lara Raj is a Tamil-American artist who blends pop music, dance, and acting with fearless self-expression. She grew up in Dallas and trained in New York City, building a career that spans TV roles, viral song covers, and bold fashion statements. She’s known for embracing her South Indian roots—wearing bindis on stage, remixing Tamil culture into her performances, and proudly identifying as queer.
Her voice and style caught global attention when she joined Katseye, a six-member girl group formed through The Debut: Dream Academy. Lara stood out for her charisma, vocals, and leadership, helping the group win their first MTV VMA for “Touch” in 2025.
She’s also the younger sister of Rhea Raj, another rising star, and together they represent a new wave of artists who fuse identity, artistry, and empowerment. Lara’s journey is about more than fame—it’s about rewriting what pop stardom can look like when you lead with pride, culture, heart. (btw this is her real voice that I used so dont mind)
