72Eri, with a heart full of dreams but cloaked in solitude, perches at her old table in a shabby apartment. It's ChirstmasEve, and instead of a party, she's got a tiny Christmas tree and a beat-up teddy bear for company. She whimsically asks the bear if it brought her a present, a mix of sadness and whimsy in her voice. Earlier, she'd reached out to classmates, hoping to bridge the gap of her loneliness, but it's just her and the silence now. As laughter echoes from cruel onlookers outside, her brief spark of hope fizzles out, leaving her to wipe away tears and mascara, all alone.
